What was your last 'treat myself purchase?

Your last purchase that wasn't something you needed, but something you WANTED.

I feel guilty if I buy something I don't need, even if it's only a few quid. I think my last 'luxury' purchase was a £20 handbag!

Converse high tops

I’ve secretly wanted a pair for years but never thought I could pull them off but as my style has changed thought I’d give them a go

Im in my 40s - and absolutely love them! Worn almost daily

Here it is, it has 9 in total, including starry night, my favourite . And only 18 dollars inc shipping to the UK.

Oh that’s so unusual, and lovely.

7eleven · 08/06/2023 18:50

Olaplex, by any chance?!

Figgygal · 08/06/2023 18:55

A £200 radley bag from their coronation collection
Because it was my favourite colour
No regrets

DisforDarkChocolate · 08/06/2023 19:18

Bloody hell @Ultravox they are gorgeous. I am very tempted.

Favouritefruits · 08/06/2023 19:19

A 69p brownie from Lidl 😂

Mulhollandmagoo · 08/06/2023 19:20

Walkers crisps 😂 we are going on a UK holiday next week, so we are taking some supplies with us, and I got us some walkers crisps, they're too expensive for us to have on our usual weekly shop, and I saw them and thought, sod it....we're having good crisps!!

A new blusher, technically it’s a
blusher/highlighter hybrid.

3luckystars · 08/06/2023 19:33

A sewing pattern.

I was feeling nostalgic about drawstring T-shirt dresses I used to wear in the 80’s and can’t find one now so I bought a pattern.

A tote bag from White Stuff. I'd had it in my basket for a couple of days and then they started their 20% off everything offer so I went for it.

I really like that.

Tiddlywinkly · 08/06/2023 19:43

This shirt from Sezane: https://www.sezane.com/en/product/max-shirt/striped-blue#size-6
I've been waiting ages for it to be restocked.

Icantfindmykeys · 08/06/2023 19:49

An £8 bunch of peonies from Aldi! I thought they were £4.50.

Greenly3 · 08/06/2023 19:51

A silk pair of pjs and a silk nightdress, can’t wait to get them !

4 nights at an adults only all inclusive little hotel in Majorca, on my own. Dreamt of doing it for over a decade. It was utter bliss.

(I don’t really buy shoes, clothes, bags etc)

@Sensibletrousers Go you! I have thought many times about doing this too and have always talked myself out of it

Andnowshesatoddler · 08/06/2023 20:02

Not a style and beauty purchase but have ordered myself a new car it's my first grown up car pushed myself to afford it but I'm so excited to order what I want rather than what's on offer for a change.

7eleven · 08/06/2023 20:03

Ooh what car are you getting?

murasaki · 08/06/2023 20:26

@7eleven

Galartsy for the bracelet.

menopausalbloat · 08/06/2023 20:31

A Star Wars Babu Frik figure. I used to have lots of collections yrs ago then reigned it in.

Not a thing, but a service: a cleaner. They are coming on Monday to do a full/deep clean. Of course I could do it myself, but cleaning skirting boards, cupboards inside and out, doors, all the tricky hooks and crannies, the oven etc fills me with gloom.

Andnowshesatoddler · 08/06/2023 20:42

@7eleven I've treated myself to a nissan juke n-connecta her name is going to be Poppy so excited to have a car with a decent boot that doesn't count like the back windscreen is going to smash when I close it when I've got pram in the boot!

Sennelier1 · 08/06/2023 20:43

Facewash from L'Occitane en Provence! It's heavenly!

This is the real peak of the thread, honestly.

TicTac80 · 08/06/2023 20:48

I bought a lovely Kipling bag from eBay for about a third of the RRP. It's in perfect condition and I'm really chuffed with it.

That’s the problem with Rituals. It’s all just so lovely. Even the shopping experience is just lovely.

My dds bf bought me a box of Rituals for Christmas (sadly the almond one which I’m not over enamoured of) but I didn’t want to unwrap it, it was so beautiful.
A William Morris print T-shirt from next and some Emu boots from vinted. So snuggly. But I’m off up the Toon tomorrow and a little treat in store.
