What was your last 'treat myself purchase?

Your last purchase that wasn't something you needed, but something you WANTED.

I feel guilty if I buy something I don't need, even if it's only a few quid. I think my last 'luxury' purchase was a £20 handbag!

TBH I didn’t even look, I had a budget and just did the search based on what I knew I wanted (no kids, close to beach, all in, small, 4*+) and found the place! I worried it wouldn’t live up to my fantasies but it was wonderful. I arrived, they handed me a cool cava rosé and said “welcome to paradise”. I almost cried lol.

I did 5 days in Tenerife last month solo - hotel, flights, transfers -22kg luggage - £500 and no single person arse kick

BestieBunch · 09/06/2023 19:47

Replacement AirPods… my eldest lost mine 6 months ago… still can’t find them even though they were last tracked at home! Racked with guilt and have hidden them from everyone so no one can ‘borrow’ them.

Cheetah7 · 09/06/2023 20:08

Brazilian bum bum cream is My treat the scent is out of the world and it’s the only moisturiser that actually makes makes my tough old skin soft and smooth

ladygindiva · 09/06/2023 20:14

I've had a shit week from hell and inspired by this thread I've splurged on some Boden espadrilles ( I love an espadrille) and a pretty blouse in the sale.

@Sensibletrousers

Oh fair enough but whenever I try to book anywhere not specifically solo. it assumes it is for 2 people!

Where did you go out of interest and what comapny did you book thru??

I didn’t use an agency or booking site, I used TripAdvisor to find the hotel then booked directly with them, and booked my flights directly BA. Will PM you with details.

I’ve just had a massage after feeling achey for days. I have a feeling though that I’m gonna hurt tomorrow, in which case I’m gonna need a treat to get over my treat.

Otterseatpuffinsdontthey · 09/06/2023 20:34

@Sensibletrousers Sounds great! May I have the details too please?

CarolinaInTheMorning · 09/06/2023 20:34

Went to the hairdresser just for a shampoo and blowdry. She also gave me a lovely head massage. Left with my normally frizzy hard to manage hair all swingy and shiny.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 09/06/2023 20:48

A Hobbs camel coat. Mind you, I had £250 worth of John Lewis vouchers from various sources so only had to pay £49 myself.

Biffatcrafts · 09/06/2023 20:56

I don't treat myself very often, but recently I had a silver and amethyst pendant made for me by a local jeweller. The best bit was working with them to create my own unique design. But it wasn't an impulse purchase, I'd been saving up for 18 months to have it made.

TheCyclingGorilla · 09/06/2023 21:19

Two pairs of long-ish culottes from Very.com. I like culottes because from a distance they look like a skirt but you don't get the chubby chafing. I spent about £50.

Love this skirt

AuburnConkers · 11/06/2023 08:35

@Christmascracker0 I bought that skirt too! It’s so lovely. Thanks for the tip 😊

LadyWithLapdog · 11/06/2023 09:52

A couple of books and a top.

LT1982 · 11/06/2023 10:38

Comfortable shoes are essential. Id argue you need them not want them.....which is how I justify most of my shoe purchases 🤣

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/06/2023 20:39

I've just ordered some new Sketchers lace-ups , not glamorus or even Stylish or Beautiful , but comfy .
I need a lighter colour pair as well for Summer .plan to nose round the Sketchers shop next week.

I needed a new Shower Puff , I usually buy the BodyShop Lily shower puff , but CBA walking over to the shop and bought one from Boots (Botanicals) on a long wooden handle . SO much easier to reach my back and down to my feet .

TheOwlChronicles · 12/06/2023 22:09

Todays treats were a Stanley cup and a Habitat bladeless desk fan which looks more expensive than it was - and it wasn't very cheap in the first place!

4 nights at an adults only all inclusive little hotel in Majorca, on my own. Dreamt of doing it for over a decade. It was utter bliss.

(I don’t really buy shoes, clothes, bags etc)

Where please . I need a solo break too .

hattie43 · 13/06/2023 16:43

Gola grand slams from Oliver bonas

LadyWithLapdog · 14/06/2023 00:16

I bought another 2 portable fans, so now we each have one.

LunaTheCat · 14/06/2023 05:51

I am in NZ so for those in the know I bought three (yes 3!) things for Juliette Hogan.. a deep emerald skirt, a pair of beautiful drawstring wide leg trousers and a v neck vest… it will be my last splurge for a while!

Grapewrath · 14/06/2023 11:40

A platinum nose stud. I absolutely love it!

Littlepiggietoes · 17/06/2023 17:54

A pair of boots. I didn’t need them, my trainers would’ve done the job just fine, but I wanted them. And I felt very lucky that I could just buy them. This time last year I wouldn’t have been able to just buy a £60 pair of boots without budgeting for a couple of months. I hope I always feel like that with implosive purchases to be honest!
