Never really shopped at Mango, but was impressed when I went in last week.

@Purplecatshopaholic - we’re not just doing the kitchen. The entire top floor is being remodelled (we currently only have 1/3 of a roof), and we’re extending/moving structural walls/removing chimney breasts elsewhere. Turns out you can spend a lot of money on a house!

We’re ignoring it all for a week. We’re on holiday. Although the flight chaos yesterday meant that we didn’t get to our hotel until 3am. Feeling a bit tired today!

Feeling noticeably cooler in the mornings now although often a bit muggy by lunchtime.

Am trying not to wear too many very summery things so I don't have to wash and iron too much before going on holiday in just over a week. Bought a dress from Hush and it arrived yesterday and I love it! Looking forward to wearing it.

@OublietteBravo I sympathise with you on the renovations. We finally finished a top to bottom renovation this by year which started in late 2020 (took a hiatus to have a baby). I hadn't had a wardrobe in about 3 years and the novelty of having one again has not worn off!

@faffadoodledo love the Palava top. I've been eyeing up some trousers and knitwear from there, how would you say they are size/fit wise? Quite true to the measurements they give? Long or short?

couple of outfits from last few days. We were in Edinburgh for the last weekend of the festival and I got to see DHs musical. Yay. Total nightmare getting back because our flight was cancelled and we ended up back in our luxury hotel and had to get the train yesterday this arriving 24 hours late. Not a good experience for DD who needed alternative care.

went shopping in Toast too, a lovely store and saw ‘a little black dress’ exhibition which was very interesting

We tried to fly on Monday but felt foul of the air traffic control problems so we're staying at home. Beautiful seaside walk yesterday. Top seasalt, trousers Brax.

An outside photo for a change

Hello my dears, sorry for the absence. We moved house straight after the end of school to the mainland and our container only just arrived a fortnight ago. The Internet was connected last week. Needless to say the house is in a form of organised chaos. Our plans to take a sabbatical from work for DH and a change of jobs for me are still up in the air while we rush to get things together before the start of school for the DC.

But the lovely clothes on here have been a lovely distraction recently! Thank you my dearies.

I’m enjoying actually being able to wear summer clothes.

Bless you @OublietteBravo , you are exceptionally stoic with all of those renovations. DH took down one of our kitchen work surfaces and some cupboards last week with DS9, it made me very nervous as very little planning went into their mission. He has moved a chair into the space and has declared that the chair is a great addition as he can reach the espresso machine and radio without standing up

Blouse last years pyrus, jeans very old gap. I’ll be sitting in a car with my son for a lot of today, on one of my few days off, he has his driving test next week, wish me luck!!
It’s less stressful at work, and that’s stressful!!

That jumper is absolutely gorgeous @Sooverthemill. The forecast is hinting at summer weather once the kids go back to school. Which sounds about right!

Certainly feels autumnal today but yesterday was beautiful here and the forecast looks like a late summer is on the way. But it's typical September with colder mornings and evenings here now. I have new boots that I love so wearing them today before it gets too hot for them again 😁 Steve Madden - like DM's but much softer leather. And they were in the sale, I love them.
