Another ‘is this too white for a wedding’ thread

I know this has been done to death, and the answer is ‘if you’re not sure then it probably is’, but I’ve found a dress than I love and it goes with a cardigan/shoes that I already have.
It’s definitely not bridal but it does have a white background:

I think it’s not too white. And lovely!

It’s fine, people only have a problem with plain white or cream really.

It's not too white but I think the second dress is much the prettier of the two.

It's perfect, the print is big enough and a strong enough colour that even if you don't have the cardi on the whole time it'll be fine. You'll look lovely :-)

Lovely. A jacket would be better for a wedding. Don't go with a white hat or fascinator, make it the blue.

It's absolutely fine and not even the teeniest bit bridal. I wouldn't wear a plain white outfit or a plain cram outfit but anything else goes really.

Sheesh, the Sezane dress makes the model look frumpy so God knows what it would be like on a mere mortal. The first dress is the one.

The first dress is perfectly fine. Very pretty and celebratory.

The second is nowhere near formal enough for a wedding. It’s a dress for the weekly Tesco shop or the beach on a very dull day.

Both dresses seem.fine to me. I'd go for navy sandals though not black and a matching navy bag.

I really love the first dress and it’s not too white at all. The only thing I think (and I know it’s not what you asked @Monkeymonkeymoo!) is I wouldn’t wear the espadrilles in such a dark colour, assuming you were going for the navy version. I think a more neutral version or lighter coloured version would be more flattering and not take away from that lovely dress. Mind you, I am no sartorial expert.
