At what age (honestly) did you look your best?

Society tells us that youth is beautiful, but I look at photos of myself at 18 and think I looked a total state! No idea about how to dress, skincare, and I still had the puppy fat.

Maybe I'm deluded, but I think I started to look my best from my very late 20s (in early 30s now), but maybe that's due to lots of things - being healthier, exercising more, better fashion, taking care of my skin etc.

Though how strange that I'm more confident now in my late 30s

41

Between 30 - 35. Possibly up to the age of 40. My hair was i great condtion, my skin glowed, and I was a good weight. Also much physically fitter. Now I'm 47 and peri menopausal, I look like a sack of spuds. 😒

25-30. I looked amazing but had no body confidence at all.... beauty is so wasted on the young!

  1. Now aged 52 and look dreadful. Tired looking, melasma, Horners in one eye and a ridiculously short fringe at the moment 🙄

Aged 45, I was looking good!

Late 20s early 30s.

Everything 'sat' just right

plummyplum · 30/06/2023 21:18

21 easily. I looked fabulous. I thought I looked awful. Wish I could have enjoyed it :-)

Goldencup · 30/06/2023 21:26

I was at my peak 26-30. I had a lovely figure and disposable income to dress well.

Tyrionapproach · 30/06/2023 21:31

33 to 43 - crappy ex was gone, I had a decent income and great social life and knew what colours and styles suited my still fairly good figure. I was always able to get away with being much younger than I am. Then I took the job from hell and it all went downhill...

This is such a good & interesting question. Me & all my mates from uni all agree we looked better in our 30s than our 20s - knowing your style, how to dress for yourself, a bit more money to do it with…

  1. And I didn't appreciate it AT ALL! It makes me quite angry.
TheAnnaPhilAxis · 30/06/2023 22:02

18-23ish. I was very pretty back in the day, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm still attractive now, but in a much older sort of way (with lines and in a 'just turned 50 kind of way). So in my view, I've been going downhill since I was in my early 20s.

I am the same very slender shape and weight as I was then, though that's small consolation for looking 30 years older.

  1. Now. I've always been "attractive" but now I am happy and it shows. I glow differently.
adriftabroad · 14/07/2023 19:23

43, most definitely.
