I keep seeing lots of advertisements for Honeylove shapewear and wonder if anyone has any experience of buying from this company. They have a couple of items that I would love, they are very expensive but there is free P&P and free returns …. But from America. Thank you ladies in advance.

If buying shapewear. It’s good to check the labels
really for any smoothing you need at least 10% spandex
or elastane. M n S shapewear have 39%

Hi there. I don’t know if you ever went ahead with an order but I ordered a silhouette cami. I didn’t like it - the bottom of it had the sticky gluey stuff that stops it from riding up. I understand why it’s there but for me it just left a Grand Canyon like ridge across my bum (which kind of gives the game away that I’m wearing Shapewear).

Generally I didn’t think it any superior in quality to other shapewear I’ve had and I’ve now settled on an M&S shaping slip instead which is less than a third of the price.

I did discover during the returns process that a lot of their items are actually non-returnable. To be fair to them this is clearly set out on the returns page of their website but I didn’t read that first. It’s just that it’s an expensive mistake to make if your item is non-returnable!

You need to go careful on the tax situation on anything bought from overseas. I know you mention the USA, but the same applies to Europe now that we are no longer in the EU. You may be charged tax when the item is delivered.

If you are looking for something to wear with a dress or a skirt, try this. Comfy and not aa challenge when you want a wee. You also look less "Bridgett like"!

I bought the tummy control thong and then later ordered the adjustable control shorts.. I must say I really love the control thong.. though am not a thong person other reviewers said they wore theirs over their knickers, so I tried that and it was perfect. Wore it the whole day yesterday over my black lace briefs. The control is really good. I like the adjustable shorts too but if I had to choose I would go for the thong, it's cheaper and it gave me such amazing control and was comfortable.. good luck @claredavidson x

I got a body thing from there for my wedding. It wasn't great. Ended up getting a shaping slip from M and S, which is really good!

I would have thought a control thong over regular underwear would really result in knickers in a twist. You really do not need double layers.

That thought did not even occur to me lol, luckily that hasn't happened @StarlightLady the material is quite firm so no twisting

I bought the honey love one. Got sucked in by IG reels 🙄 Either it's a rip off or I should have ordered a smaller size 🤷‍♀️ I might just cut to the chase, avoid further wasted money and go to Skims

Do shaping slips not ride up? I've never understood how they wouldn't gather up when you sit down and not return to their original position when you stand up

Mine didn't. It's quite snug and it didn't really move tbh

Mine tend to stop put in the same way a pencil skirt (I’m showing my age now!) does.

and the added bonus is that you can wear your own bra with them, or a no bra option, depending on the dress and/or person.

What is the hold like?

My shapewear is M&S. I'd definitely recommend

I have recently bought one of the Marks & Spencer’s slips, and it really does do a great job of holding everything in. But as has been mentioned in these posts, the minute I sat down, then stood up, it all gathered below my tummy and above the knee. Took it straight back and got a refund.
