I've never worn a dress and a pair of trainers

I can't be the only one?

Maybe it's my age (55)?
Maybe it's because I don't wear dresses massively often and prefer to wear sandals or other shoes.

It's weird because the way people talk about dresses and trainers (white or otherwise) on here (and topped off with a denim jacket) you'd have thought people wore this combo for decades, nay centuries. I'm sure it's been less then a decade?

Maybe I just go around with my eyes shut?

Anyway, what other things have you never worn that seem to be a Mumsnet staple? Skinny jeans maybe? Or a beauty thing?

I really didn't intend to argue about Timberland sandals.

I am not in the UK and do not have these options available to me as per the uk site. I agree some of the options wouldn't pair very well with the floral dress, but if I scroll down, there are really some nice ones 😀

Apologies if I came across in the wrong manner.

The more brightly coloured and chunky Timberland sandals reminded me of the dreadful sandal trainer hybrid Balanciaga did a few summers ago. So awful, but clearly Timberland were inspired by them.

Miu Miu also did something similar albeit it in black back in the late 90s in one of their first collections. I recall them well as I bought a pair from their newly opened store on Bond Street. Haven't thought about them in years, so thank you for that!
