No, nor am I @CliffsofMohair. Both are beautiful women but there's some looks even they can't carry off.

Spudlet · 22/05/2023 20:25

That pink spotty dress is so shiny… not in a good way 😳

viewsoftheshard · 22/05/2023 20:30

I’m just not a fan of most of the me+em clothes. I’ve bought a couple of their pieces and they are so well made but never looking amazing on.

Maireas · 22/05/2023 20:34

Chanel. What is going on?

I noticed Kate had her wedges on today and it looked like QCams might have had a pair on too! Didn’t QEII used to dislike them? Looks like QCams is a woman more wedded to comfy feet (a woman after my own heart, or perhaps feet, if so) 👍

Maireas · 22/05/2023 20:36

Ah, comfy shoes. That is all.

It will be interesting to see how much things might change, sartorially speaking, because that will surely give us an idea of how much ‘control’ (whether explicitly exercised or done subtly and perhaps almost unthinkingly)QEII exercised over Royal wardrobes. All that stuff about nail varnish, for example. Of course what it won’t tell us is how much came from her and how much from the hangers on around, many of whom are also now perhaps gone. And how much was people being told what to do, and how much was them choosing not to do things that might upset their boss, who was also their granny-in-law / MiL and an elderly lady. But it will be interesting nonetheless.

Saw this and thought for a moment that Camilla had come to Chelsea with Joe Biden!

I thought it was Philip the set of the jaw

I think Charles is looking more like Philip as he gets older, though Philip was much sprightlier at the same age. And of course very handsome as a young man while Charles was never a looker.

Kakibob1924 · 22/05/2023 21:14

Tights!!

notsuchafrugalkitty · 22/05/2023 21:28

I thought Kate's dress needed a petticoat as it looked a bit clingy (tights won't have helped!) Also agree that the dress would look better on a more shapely figure.

Maireas · 22/05/2023 22:05

You'd think it would be lined.

Does anyone wear petticoats these days??

Maireas · 22/05/2023 22:14

I do! M&S cool comfort slip - clothes hang beautifully, stops clothes being see through.
Cotton in hot weather. No cling.

I do as well! I have a lovely cotton one as well, and will investigate the M&S ones.

justasking111 · 22/05/2023 22:40

I'm wearing a petticoat now. I own two of different lengths. Dresses do hang better. The dress Catherine is wearing looks better without the belt

Me too @Maireas. I have different lengths and colours. Rarely wear dresses or skirts without one now.

MotherofPearl · 22/05/2023 23:16

You're all inspiring me to look into the World of Petticoats. Actually they sound quite useful, and certainly I remember my grandmother and great aunts all always wore petticoats.

MotherofPearl · 22/05/2023 23:20

Just looked at the M&S cool comfort slip and a message popped up saying: POPULAR. 40 people are looking at this right now.

Assume it's all the denizens of RS&B?!

justasking111 · 22/05/2023 23:25

😁😁

You won't be sorry. I wear waist slips, have never tried a full slip. I remember my mother having some which were very pretty

iknowimcoming · 23/05/2023 00:21

Thought I'd seen that dress before

Me too! Also wearing one today under a maxi skirt.
