Purple dress

I have been invited to a wedding and bride and groom have asked everyone to wear purple. This is my close and favourite cousin so would like to honor request (I suspect many guests will not) but also want something nice to wear. Any ideas?

What clothes size/budget/any preferred length?

Such a controlling and strange thing to ask people today! Why can't they just give people purple buttonholes as they enter the venue?

I was thinking I struggle to find wedding wear and like to wear something I already have if possible, but perhaps it is in honor of a deceased family member.

I am 35 size 12 and prefer something not too short. I will have my three kids with me so can't really wear heels either. Budget I want to stay under 200 (though that would probably make it my most expensive dress)

I think it's cheeky to dictate what colour people wear! I would not wear purple at any time, so I'd wear what I want.

I think more idea of the shape you’d like would help narrow it down, these are all so different.

If you’re small kid wrangling, trousers might be helpful, don’t want to crawl under tables in a £200 frock. That said, the Ghost dress suggested by @SashaAlabaster it’s so deep and rich and timeless 😻

Me too, it’s lovely and inexpensive. Wish I had something coming up, that I needed a dress for, as I would definitely buy it.
