Purple dress

I have been invited to a wedding and bride and groom have asked everyone to wear purple. This is my close and favourite cousin so would like to honor request (I suspect many guests will not) but also want something nice to wear. Any ideas?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!!! I really like the ghost one that people have commented on. It's a summer wedding and for some reason I was thinking more lilac than deep purple. What do people think about that? I don't really know what shapes suit me to be honest. I tend to like longer lengths though don't think I have bad legs. Can't wear something to form fitting on account of really pudgy belly.

I think it's cheeky to dictate what colour people wear! I would not wear purple at any time, so I'd wear what I want.

Yes I do think it's cheeky haha! I told her. But I love her so I'm just going to do it.

I really like the Next dress. The ghost dress is lovely, but I think the satin finish might be too unforgiving over bumps and lumps.

If I was asked to wear a colour that didn't suit me I would just get an accessory or a button hole in that colour instead.

I got the long Pippa dress from Sezane in purple...it's really nice and you'll get plenty of wear from it as you could dress it up or down.
