Is beauty pie worth it and what are their best products?
Is it subscription based?

I love it, every product I've ordered has been great. My favourite would either be the Japanese fusion range or my eyebrow pencil, but honestly everything is brilliant.

Pushmepullyou · 25/04/2023 06:08

Yes, it’s great. ☺️

SacreBleugh · 25/04/2023 06:18

Yes I like it. I was paying £5 a month but have swapped to £59 a year. Their products are great quality and nice packaging. And with the subscription, very affordable.

moonspiral · 25/04/2023 06:24

Used to love it then the prices went up and I got a bit dubious about their claims on how much it would actually cost if it weren't beauty pie.
Japan fusion cleanser was my fave.

So that's almost twice as much? I used to pay £5 a month but then they seemed to switch to annual subscription.

Ignore my bad maths!!! Why did you switch? Was it forced on you?

Sparklesprinkle1 · 25/04/2023 06:28

Japan fusion cleanser is wonderful. The orange scented body wash is the nicest smell ever. I suffer from the odd breakout and their spot stickers are amazing

dietcokelime · 25/04/2023 06:30

I actually really rate it - especially compared to some of my more expensive skincare! The capsules are fab, the under eye patches and spit patches too - as pp said the Japan fusion is amazing too.

chipshopElvis · 25/04/2023 06:36

I really liked it, bit the prices of the actual products rose so much that I couldn't afford to order what I wanted to anymore. It's not worth placing small orders really due to the postage costs. I think it depends what you would ordinarily spend on make up and skin care.

SacreBleugh · 25/04/2023 06:51

@moonspiral 😂don't worry- it's early in the morning! Yes they made me switch and I thought about not bothering any more, but I do buy a lot of products from them so I thought I'd keep going for now anyway.

Menopants · 25/04/2023 06:57

i loved it for a while. Some of the products are amazing. Some of the make up stuff is horrible. The postage killed it for me. I would try and buy everything in a bundle but half the stuff would be out of stock. Also post pandemic I just don’t bother with as much stuff as I used to so forking out 69 quid before I event get anything seems nonsensical

JofraArchersFastestBall · 25/04/2023 07:10

I liked a lot of the products but found the model and the marketing unbearable. I didn't appreciate having to pay for the privilege of being allowed to spend over my usual budget on products that I hadn't been able to test, plus additional postage, all whilst being told that beauty pie were doing me a big favour and I was getting a massive bargain!

What I'm saying is that it's expensive when you add everything up, and the marketing sucks you in and makes you spend more than you usually would!

BatFaceOwl · 25/04/2023 07:12

Their silly overinflated RRPs and sickly marketing put me off. The products are mediocre at best

Sparkletastic · 25/04/2023 07:25

I was a member for years but gave it up last year due to their constantly increasing prices, poor stock control and ridiculous RRP claims. Their customer service is also patronising and shite. I paid the annual subscription but came to really resent feeling like I had to buy everything from them. They are certainly not the best for everything. That said if you are going to join then the Japanfusion cleanser is their standout product. Their One Powder Wonder is also excellent and some of their scents are good, albeit lacking in longevity. Avoid their eyeshadows at all cost and never buy the waterproof mascara unless you want a product that is incredibly hard to remove.

Almahart · 25/04/2023 07:46

I liked it but got fed up of things not being in stock. One powder wonder is great abs they did a really lovely lime perfume that's now discontinued.

Lots of the other stuff is a bit average and not supper cheap so I got bored with it in the end

Mercurial123 · 25/04/2023 08:55

I cancelled the subscription. I didn't love it enough to continue. Bought Elf cleanser and moisturiser which are really good for the price. I can't justify £59 annual membership as I don't buy enough to make it work.

Sapphiretrainers · 25/04/2023 12:53

I like their sunscreen, really lightweight! I also rate their vitamin C serum, hylaronic moisturiser and the youth bomb retinol.

I also have the blush, some lipsticks and the under eye concealer too.

The postage thing really annoys me though so I buy in bulk.

Peridot1 · 25/04/2023 13:24

I don’t think they do the £5 membership now. I did that one and was happy enough with that coming out of my account every month but didn’t want to switch to the annual subscription. Then they suddenly raised the monthly membership to £10 a month!

I like some of the products but not that much and I wasn’t getting value for the subscription anyway as I wasn’t ordering enough. And their prices went up a lot.

I am now doing the Liberty Beauty Drop for £20 a month which is actual credit to spend on products you can check the prices of. And I get a free beauty box four times a year.

WeRateSquirrels · 25/04/2023 16:40

I absolutely share some of the dislikes listed here, but the Super Healthy Skin moisturiser is by the far the best for my very sensitive skin that I've tried (much better than LRP, CeraVe etc.) so I'm stuck with them.

Also like the powder, vit C body lotion (great for mixing with tanning drops), candles, lip oil/gloss and the tinted lip balm crayons.

I've not had much in the way of stock issues for a long time, but maybe I've just been lucky.

Snap! I do like the Japanfusion range, but I'm also enjoying trying different products.

Myjobisanightmare · 25/04/2023 17:20

It’s the candles I really like so I do a £10 for a month membership 3 times a year and buy 3 candles and whatever else I fancy then cancel before the month is up

HKARJ · 28/03/2024 09:17

I’ve been a loyal customer since it started but too may products that were great eg Double Phase Cleanser have been discontinued and anything I want to buy is often out of stock. There is a new CEO and it now seems about buying bundles to maximise profit. I know it’s business but it has lost the fun factor of getting luxe products at budget prices. Shame , some really interesting products intially but the bubble has burst. And there are far more innovative products at far cheaper price points.
So I’m cancelling.

Magien · 29/03/2024 21:08

Love Japanfusion but like others have cancelled my subscription and plan to do a bulk shop a few times a year.

Teentaxidriver · 29/03/2024 21:18

I did it for a year, but got so BORED with it. Felt obliged to buy almost everything from BP in order to justify the subscription cost. Found the frequency of things being out of stock tiresome. Then, at the end of my subscription period, there was a mix up and they treated me really shoddily.
