Photo attached of DD hair, she is 2.5 years old.
No matter what I do, it always ends up looking like this!
Last night she had it washed with Child's Farm shampoo and conditioner for curly hair and then a bit of My Little Coco curling custard out through it and blown dry.
What do I do? 🤣
I've tried lots of products but anything I've put in her hair when it's dry just makes it greasy and sticky and then it needs a wash again - we try to only wash it once or twice a week.
Please help!
(Oh and she only had it cut 3 weeks ago, so it doesn't need a trim yet!)

I'd say she has type 2A wavy hair - so needs lightweight products, moreso that gels or heavy creams. Id say a leave in conditioner, dry naturally, and just use a spritz of water and fingers to detangle in the morning

She looks lovely in that latest photo. It's wavy but will possibly get curlier. It just needs a quick spray with water and a clip for the fringe. It's all bouncy and that's lovely.

I forgot to say when you wash it, tread lightly, work the shampoo through root to end, don't pile it up on top and scrub as the hair cuticles all stand out then.

I'm sorry if you feel overwhelmed, but it looks better already, less dry, less frizz so you have already cracked some of the frizzy/wavy/curly hair rules. Its going to take experimenting to get the right care. Most curly people are always searching for the holy grail of hair products!
I come from a family of mad professor hair. The only brush we had was for the dog so I was equally perplexed by a almost straight haired child! Luckily it got curlier, she loves it and all is well!
Your daughter looks beautiful.

If she swims in future, wet it well before putting a silicon hat on (latex hurts) and always rinse after, even if you haven't got time to wash it at the pool.

Silk or satin pillowcases.

Co washing - Umberto Giannini Banana Butter works great on DD's hair though is too heavy for mine and I look greasy.

Detangle hair with a brush but then use a boar bristle brush to smooth it.
