Black Tie work event - help with my look

I'm possibly going to a black tie event for work in October in a hotel in London. Need a stupidly amazing dress and I want to feel on top of the world.

The dress needs to be:

1 - understated sexy but no legs on show or cleavage - I like showing shoulders, back, and calves

2 - no patterns or prints - solid colour

3- comfortable enough for me to sit down, walk, dance etc

4 - suitable for kitten pointed toes heels

5- not glittery, shiny, all gold or all silver etc

I will also need to buy a suitable bag and suitable shoes, preferably a style that I can use over and over again

I'm keen on creating a modern / youth / unassuming look yet chic and tasteful.

Please help with links, photos, tips and etc - i missed the opportunity to go last year so this year I want to enjoy to the maxxxxxxx.

So to recap, no cleavage, not a high neckline, not a short dress, no slit, no asymmetric hem, no pattern, no belt, plain coloured, preferably not bodycon, not bridal, showstopping and appropriate.

But I like this one a lot! With the black shoes and bag I tagged above! I worrry the pattern is too large though but it might work. It is sober, enough the fabric is flowing so I can move with ease and I will stand out on the group photo!

I think the base pattern is a navy blue with a blush, I think it would look really nice on you.

Obviously sold out in my size, damn! I'm on the email list for notification in case it comes back. But the model is 5'10 and I'm 5'5 and since I want a low kitten heel it might be too long for me anyway

1 - No asymmetric hem, at least no straight lines obviously asymmetric
2 - sexy but not slutty
3 - no summer vibes
4 - no cleavage
5 - no slit leg or buttons down the from showing leg or back slit
6 - not too long, I'm wearing kitten heels
7 - no crazy patterns or too many colours together
8 - fashionable and modern but not over the top
9 - not belted or with straps of fabric hanging on the side / back
10 - zero or minimal sparkles, shiny things, sequin etc
11 - no bodycon - I will dance and move around so flowing fabrics are better
12 - nothing looking like a night dress or camisole
13 - black is good as long as the dress stands out somehow or goes with a shoe that will

Sorry, no help or suggestions on a dress but wow, you're gorgeous! Sorry, I'm aware that sounds a bit creepy but from your criteria for the dress, and the kind of look you want to show, it sounds as if you don't have bags of confidence. You look amazing, beautiful smile and will be able to pull off so many of the dress suggestions on this thread.
