I'm going to Chanel tomorrow...

I posted recently about my intention to buy a white bag. I was considering one from Launer, but in truth what I'd really love is another Chanel 😬

I've been going round the houses having conversations with myself in my head ("it's a white bag, it'll get dirty, you'd be mad to spend Chanel money on a white bag, yes I know but I just love Chanel more than any other, look at the joy I've got from my 2.55, well yes but...") 😀

I've got the opportunity to go to a Chanel store tomorrow. My SA says she has the mini 2.55 in white available to show me, & a few others too. I'm not sure whether the mini would be too small - I think I have the medium 2.55 & I do like that size. I need to see it in the flesh. And possibly spend a lot of money

If anyone wants to talk Chanel please do so! I posted on here when I bought my 2.55 & people were lovely, right from me having the first notion of getting one to posting a photo of my purchase when I unboxed it at home a couple of weeks later!

Does anyone have a mini? How do they come up for size? I've watched some reviews which say that because they're single flaps they actually feel almost as capacious as a standard double flap.

Oh @Neverhappyalwayshopeful now that is very interesting 🤔 It makes a lot of sense actually. I've said for a while that Chanel intend to head in a Hermes direction in terms of price & exclusivity, & the plan your SA describes would definitely fit with that... 🧐

Oh my good lord. I’ve never once thought of a Chanel bag (my ‘best’ bag is from Coach) but having seen your photos I am now coveting that identical bag but in navy. I feel that my life isn’t complete without one. Will I need a second mortgage?! Your bag is absolutely beautiful.

The white Mini 2.55 I bought on Tues was £4130. The purse was £690. That's pretty much entry level for Chanel these days 😬

I'd also love the bag - or indeed any Chanel bag - in navy, but they don't do them often. The next drop is the winter collection in June (I know 😀) so that's the time to check, as they get very few of those in...

I can’t honestly believe that I’m typing this, but that price is less than I thought! Good news! I’ve gone down a rabbit hole of Chanel bags. Wow, they’re just beautiful. Are you planning your next purchase already OP, or just enjoying the new bag for now?

@WellTidy Enjoying the bag for now, but desperately hoping they bring the same bag out in navy later this year, because I might be able to justify that!

The double flap classic in small, which is just a bit bigger than this Mini (but feels smaller in terms of capacity because of the double flap) is now over £8k. I couldn't see double the value in that over the Mini all honesty.

The medium double flap 2.55 I have is now retailing at £9500 😮 And the prices are rising exponentially, so if you are going to go for it, sooner rather than later is better!
