I have bought a Topshop blouse from a charity shop today. I don’t know what era of a Topshop it is ( I am happy to post a pic of the label if anyone wants to date it) but the quality imho surpasses the quality of high street clothes today. It’s lovely thick cotton and has a covered button. I know other people miss it too and just wondered if other people search out old Topshop pieces. I have a lovely Topshop dress which. I bought at a charity shop too that I love and is from the Topshop of old.

I loved going to TopShop in Oxford Street.

Congratulations on your find! I bought a silk Topshop blouse last week in a charity shop. Beautifully made, nice details etc. I really miss it and shopped there regularly for three decades.

I don’t think it is 90s Topshop but might be early 00s.

I miss Topshop even though I'm the other side of 40!

The store at Oxford Circus was where me & my school friends would take a trip at the weekend in the mid 90s

We loved it so much

Britpop was in full flow

Aaaah take me back to the 90s and Topshop!

Equimum · 08/04/2023 20:03

I couldn't afford Topshop when I was at school but fell in love with the store around 2005. Everything I bought from there was amazing quality and the trousers were always beautifully thick and well tailored - I cannot find anything like them today 😔.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 08/04/2023 20:39

I loved Oxford Circus Topshop. I bought a cream silk shirt from there in about 2014 - boxy, short-ish, with beautiful cuffs and collar, for £40. Nowadays it’d be made of polyester and wouldn’t hang right.

Potatobum · 08/04/2023 20:40

I loved top shop so much. I got so many clothes there from the mid nineties onwards. I have quite a few old faves stashed away somewhere, hoping they will fit again some day!
the Oxford Circus store was amazing.
the clothes were Always such good quality for the price too.
Did they do shoe’s as well? I remember getting a pair of biker boots from there that I loved so much around 1997. Not sure if they were a concession.

*runs to look on e-bay and Vinted

Comfies · 08/04/2023 20:41

I used to love their jeans and also had an amazing mini dress from their Kate Moss collection circa 2009. I'm still sad I got rid of that

Potatobum · 08/04/2023 20:51

@Comfies I have one of those Kate moss dresses under my bed! Pretty sure it will never fit again, but I can’t part with it.

Sorryyoufeelthatway · 08/04/2023 20:54

I hate Philip Green with a passion!

Comfies · 08/04/2023 21:01

@Potatobum true - I would only be keeping mine in storage even if I did keep it. Way too small for me now😩

I still have a size 6 Kate moss mini dress that I will NEVER fit into again but can't part with it 😂

Lol I wonder how many Kate miss mini dresses are hanging in wardrobes never to be worn again

Potatobum · 08/04/2023 21:08

I’ve just looked on eBay and the Kate moss stuff sells for £££
still not sure I’m willing to give up hope. Even if my tits have their own postcode these days!

iamrageohtheresakitty · 08/04/2023 21:08

Oh, the Kate Moss panther dress!! Yes

Me too. But I'm sharing the Topshop nostalgia. Even though they didn't stock anything that would fit me now!

God, he was a nasty creep. Doubtless still is.

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 08/04/2023 21:11

Does anyone else remember the Dari Meya range at top shop 😍

BigFloppa · 08/04/2023 21:12

RIP original topshop

GarlicGrace · 08/04/2023 21:12

I had a pale blue bias cut suede skirt from TopShop. Cost more to clean than it did to buy. It was perfect!

Also, got my ears pierced at the Oxford Circus branch. So I do still have something from there, albeit just holes 😂

newrubylane · 08/04/2023 21:15

I do miss old Topshop, 200-2010 was the heyday, I reckon. In fact, I just miss the high street of that era full stop!

Same. Topshop and Bay Trading are the ones I miss the most.

MrsBunnyEars · 08/04/2023 21:21

I had the perfect cowel-necked T-shirt dress. I’m wearing it in one of my favourite photos with DH when we were first together…. And I mainly love the pic for the dress.

I also loved the small brands they had downstairs in Oxford Circus. I still have a great top from one of them.

SocksAndTheCity · 08/04/2023 21:44

I have three of the Kate Moss dresses! My favourite is this blue sequinned fringey one (I'm away for the weekend so can't take an actual picture) and I wore it not that long ago 😀
