Toasties:- Spring frocks and socks?

Here we are again, and this time looking forward to the warmer weather , putting away our comfy woolies ( and new season's dresses).

Everyone welcome ..

Ironed my raincoat which was bought on eBay a couple of years ago and it had freshened it up no end. I ironed on the wrong side. I’m sure everyone knows this about them but I was pleasantly surprised about the difference it made.
I think it’s this one but green.

Sorry meant to say it seemed to freshen the wax type finish.

I’m returning the item I bought which came today with a kindred gift . Am I allowed to keep the gift for you think ? Returning the shirt purchased because is is much too big ( size S in new sizing , I’m normally a Toast size 8 in the old sizing ). Advice welcome please !

I would just return the item. Keep the kindred gift. Its a gift after all.

I re-ordered a cardigan. It was dispatched on Friday. It was meant to come today, but it didn't. It will come tomorrow, I'm sure. It's one of the longest ever of deliveries I've ever had. It's nearly taken a week.

My parcel arrived today. Same mug as further up the thread as my lift (not complaining as it goes with everything!) and love my brown jeans belt. Actually bought it for wearing with dresses 🤣

@Countmeout - that is a really nice raincoat! Is it British millerain fabric? I had a Toast coat made of that once years ago (but not as nice as yours)

It is a pain that you can't wash waxed cotton - or even dry clean I think

My socks and mug arrived today too - cord jacket coming tomorrow. the socks are very vivid blue (in a good way)

@Countmeout Ooh I wonder ... I sold a green one a couple of years ago, I wondered at the time if it found a home with someone here!

@dudsville I love the Painted Falls colours too. I got the pjs and nightie as gifts, so now I have the set! I bought the gown in the sale but returned it as one hem was longer than the other. This one is perfect, so I am happy.

@Gonegrey31 100% keep the gift, you’ve earned it by buying enough to get kindred so it’s a gift for the past, not the present!

It was the wee green one in the sale. I ordered an xs by accident. No idea how I did it! Anyway, got a medium through the chat. It has literally taken forerver!

The green neat cardigan. It goes with a dress I got in the sale. The olive check one. Not worn my dresses. I'm not at work just now [spring holidays] so am just chilling in casual stuff.

I did get a second hand pair of dm's from vinted today. £65. Just black oxford ones, barely worn. I've never been one for second hand shoes but a quick spray and then they are fine and if they have been barely worn then I am fine with it and leather so easily wipeable. I can't justify paying for a new pair as they are just basics.

I've also been following wearitsatkat on instagram. She wears them a lot. So hoping to wear them with all my dresses and trousers.

Has anyone got a pair of vegan dm's? Particularly the Pascal. I tried a pair of the pascal leather in store and found them quite narrow, I was wondering what the vegan ones were like.

I have the pairs of pascals but none are vegan. They are the comfiest things straight out of the box for me.

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - I think I'd worry about vegan leather not moulding to the foot quite so well as the real thing

@faustina I did wonder about that.

@dudsville do you find the pascals stretch much? My feet aren’t wide but I was surprised how narrow the pascals felt.

@Dee1224 thanks for photographing the gown- it seems a completely different colour to on their website (from recollection it was a white looking background. It was mentioned in the reviews though as being different to on screen).

I like wears it at kat too - she wears a lot of toast (have only seen pics on pin as dont have insta) and of course she does the toast videos.

I got excited when I thought there was a new dress, then I realised it was from last year - I tried it then but it didn’t suit me.

My OH was absolutely delighted with the mug - he’ll use it for track days to drink his tea from. The petit grain soap I ordered smells really beautiful, a lovely little thing. I’m keeping it in my knicker drawer til I’m ready to use it.

And finally, my absolute favourite pair of socks. I think they’re cotton with silk and a bit of cashmere, so lovely to wear, will definitely buy more if they appear at sale time #sockwatch

@Theteapotsbrokenspout , I struggle when purchasing DMs to know if I'm buying women's or men's, so i have two womens and one mens. I wear the thin socks with the womens and thick with mens, but yes the womens mold well, i wouldn't say they stretch... accommodate perhaps! The mens don't need to. For me these are the most comfortable shoe.

Loving the socks pics, mine seem to new and obvious in comparison!
