Do you prefer winter or summer clothes?

Summer for me!

I can’t wait to get out of layers, black jeans, thick jumpers. I seem to wear the same clothes nearly every day for warmth eg black jeans, black boots, black thermal top, black jumper over then a coat. I do have a couple of sweatshirts in bright colours which I occasionally wear too but my look is very boring and functional. I haven’t worn a skirt or a dress or tights all winter.

No sign of spring here yet but looking forward to wearing something completely different!

Winter clothes. the outfit you describe sounds perfect. I hate summer a and being all sweaty and uncomfortable in everything I wear.

BernadetteIsMySister · 11/03/2023 18:28

Winter, well autumn to be exact!

Newusernameaug · 11/03/2023 18:30

Summer summer summer

i was born in the summer. I long to live barefoot and somewhere warm and beachy where I realise I haven’t worn shoes for months….. but I live in NW England 😂

icelollycraving · 11/03/2023 18:31

Winter. Actually I like spring best. I don’t like Summer.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 11/03/2023 18:31

Any season but summer!

Purplepeopleeaterz · 11/03/2023 18:32

Winter, love the cozy jumpers, boots and coats. In Summer I can’t work out how to look smart at work & end up a sweaty mess.

ThePoshUns · 11/03/2023 18:33

Summer all day long

MintJulia · 11/03/2023 18:37

Summer ! I can't wait.

Decent winter clothes that are warm enough, are very expensive and so I never have as many as I would like, whereas summer clothes are lighter, less expensive and less restrictive.

Linen trousers and skirts, cotton tops, light dresses, sandals or deck shoes instead of boots. My kind of clothes 😊

CoraggioCara · 11/03/2023 18:37

It's been weeks and weeks that I'm fed up of wearing the same boots & knitwear on rotation. By the end of winter it's soo boring.

I love spring & summer. So so many different options.

BHRK · 12/03/2023 12:53

Summer, already googling lots of lovely dresses and flat sandals!

stripytees · 12/03/2023 13:12

I love the in-between times, so late spring and early autumn. Give me a dry, sunny day of 17C and I'll be able to dress how I like without worrying about rain, freezing cold or sweaty heat.

Polis · 12/03/2023 13:15

Definitely summer.

Justcashnosweets · 12/03/2023 13:34

Winter! I love jeans, leggings, cosy jumpers and boots. I never know what to wear in the summer. I'm a very pale size 22 and I burn easily, so I need to make sure I'm fairly covered up without ending up a sweaty mess. Its such a faff.

EspeciallyDedicated · 12/03/2023 13:39

Definitely winter, warm, soft and covered up. I dislike hot weather, having to wear sun cream all the time, chub rub, I find summer clothes much more limiting than winter ones.

JamJarJane · 12/03/2023 13:42

At this time of year, I love the idea of summer clothes. Then, by about September, I'm looking forward to winter clothes, dreaming of cosy jumpers.

Daffodilled · 12/03/2023 14:15

Slightly prefer winter, but love them both. Warm jumpers and boots = bliss. Flimsy dresses & sandals = bliss.

I HATE Spring in the UK, though. Changeable weather. That point when you need a jacket but a coat is too warm, boots aren’t appropriate but not yet sandals times. Too cold for bare legs but black tights feel too wintery. Urgh. I hate shoes. I hate ‘light jackets’. Nothing suits me. April & May are my worst clothes months!

Schmutter · 12/03/2023 14:18

Winter! I bloody love winter clothes.

We’ve just had 2 weeks in the Caribbean, scampering about in next to nothing. Lovely, but I was pleased to get back to thick jumpers and boots.

SwedishEdith · 12/03/2023 14:18

Winter definitely. It's so much easier to look stylish (for me). Don't need as many clothes and suit darker colours. Hate summer clothes and the 'how to keep cool, look not terrible, and cover up your pasty legs' trilemma.

Hevviie · 12/03/2023 14:25

Summer can go take a hike. 3 months of constant discomfort. Winter all day long!

CouldIHaveThatInEnglishPlease · 12/03/2023 14:27

Late spring. Jeans, tank top, lightweight cardigan and flip flops is my fave outfit.

I hate winter coats and I’m not a fan of sweaty thighs rubbing in the summer. But a nice low 20s sunny day to me is just perfect

Usernamen · 12/03/2023 14:55

Definitely summer!

I love crop tops, denim shorts, sandals, dungarees, bikinis (on the beach!)…. I just feel so much more free in summer.

Plus I’m an exercise junkie and it’s kind of annoying that I don’t get to show that off for 8 months of the year (sorry if that sounds big headed! ☺️)

User3964870654 · 12/03/2023 14:58

Autumn best for me

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 12/03/2023 15:08

Winter

lindyloo57 · 12/03/2023 18:54

Love summer, but we only get around 4 months if lucky, from October to May I seem to only wear thermals wool jumpers and jeans.

isthismylifenow · 12/03/2023 20:07

I prefer my winter clothing as I just seem to have more nicer winter items . But I live in a hot country so should really have more nicer summer items ...

I much prefer summer generally though but a part of me is looking forward to some fluffy jumpers again now.

I am sure that won't last long come June...
