Do you prefer winter or summer clothes?

Summer for me!

I can’t wait to get out of layers, black jeans, thick jumpers. I seem to wear the same clothes nearly every day for warmth eg black jeans, black boots, black thermal top, black jumper over then a coat. I do have a couple of sweatshirts in bright colours which I occasionally wear too but my look is very boring and functional. I haven’t worn a skirt or a dress or tights all winter.

No sign of spring here yet but looking forward to wearing something completely different!

Summer for sure.

Light colours, lighter weight fabrics and feeling less wrapped up.

Love a linen shirt and cropped loose jeans!

userxx · 12/03/2023 22:57

Summer all the way, my feet were made for flip flops.

TheOGCCL · 13/03/2023 00:14

Warm weather dressing for sure. I’m always cold, rarely sweat and hate all the faffing about with socks, layers, coats, scarves. Some nights it feels like unpacking a Russian doll. More washing too. I feel much more stylish and even glamorous in summer. I like wearing colour and in winter it can look brash. My legs look longer in sandals even if flat. Bring it on.

Autumn; warm mornings and the hint of a breeze. New shoes on the pavements, skirts with tights.

MrsOrange · 13/03/2023 01:27

I love Winter dressing, but I live in a tropical climate. Its taken me years to work out how to dress well in heat and humidity. I get so excited about going back to see family in the UK and being able to wear my jeans!

dudsville · 13/03/2023 02:47

For me i always prefer the season I've been in for a few months, whatever that is. The transition phase is always problematic! Once I'm fully transitioned to the new season then i prefer it and wonder how i ever went out of the house in a heavy coat or just a thin summer dress!

OverHereTryingToFigureItOut · 13/03/2023 03:16

I like both summer and winter clothes. Cotton dress and sandals or jumper dress and chunky boots.
I struggle with what to wear inbetween though, especially footwear when it's too warm for boots but not quite sandal weather.

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 13/03/2023 04:05

Summer! I look so much better in summer clothes! Give me a floaty dress and a pair of sandals and I'm in heaven. But then I don't burn, or sweat much, in fact I'm almost always cold in anything under about 25 degrees.

My winter clothes are boring and functional and just intended to keep me as warm as possible. I'm sick of the sight of them, frankly.

Fraaahnces · 13/03/2023 04:15

Winter all the way! (Of course it’s over 30’C for about 70% of the year where I bloody live. Fml.)

Missingthegore · 13/03/2023 04:29

I'm 6ft tall and a UK size 10 shoe. I have only accepted my huge feet in the last few years so used to hate winter dressing as I could not jam my feet into boots etc. That were a size too small.
Now I have accepted that and got some lovely winter shoes / boots and tights that don't cut my legs in half because the gusset is too low I love winter dressing with dresses and skirts.

byvirtue · 13/03/2023 04:42

Summer, all the summer dresses please.

I spend winter in thermals and cashmere to stave off the chill. I hate being cold, hate being restricted by thick heavy coats. So glad we are heading towards summer now!

StarlightLady · 13/03/2023 06:51

I’m a summer girl through and through 🌺. I hate woollens, coats and layers. I love flowing gossamer fabrics and bright colours. And summer dresses, l love summer dresses.

MarshaBradyo · 13/03/2023 06:56

For clothes alone Autumn

For actual weather summer and heat, love it

bendmeoverbackwards · 13/03/2023 07:36

I like spring and autumn. I feel the cold in the winter so dress for warmth rather than style. I love blazers and lighter jackets with jeans and boots but there seems a limited window when I can wear this!

ecology1989 · 13/03/2023 08:16

Right now, spring and summer. I’m just so ready for a change from my chunky knits, cashmere and dark skinny jeans and boots. I want to be in my blouses, coral chinos, pale denim and then summer dresses. But then by September I can’t wait to dig out all my autumnal / winter clothes.

LlynTegid · 13/03/2023 08:17

Summer, especially not having to wear a coat to go out.

avocadotofu · 13/03/2023 09:13

Definitely winter!

LadyKenya · 13/03/2023 09:16

Summer clothes!

LadyKenya · 13/03/2023 09:17

👗

bubbles2023 · 13/03/2023 09:24

I prefer my winter wardrobe as I love coats (have lots in different colours), hats and scarves.

Everycloud23 · 13/03/2023 09:29

In winter I always end up in black (try and wear a different coat) but in summer I have a much wider range of colours and clothes that I enjoy wearing.

I also think it’s been particularly cold this year, well it is in my house, and I am dressing for warmth and comfort not style!

Summer, but proper summer when you can just throw a dress and sandals on

As long as I don’t have to go to work which is hell in hot weather

TheFeistyFeminist · 13/03/2023 09:37

Autumn or Spring - I like to wear layers - a patterned top, a long line shacket, shirt or cardigan, maybe even (I'm so old and untrendy) a scarf of some description.

Adifferentheadspace · 13/03/2023 09:44

I would have said winter up until recently,
but having lost a lot of weight since the start of this year I’m actually really looking forward to wearing summer clothes! I’ve bought some nice dresses already and can’t wait to get them out with some nice sandals and a light tan!

sealon82 · 13/03/2023 09:47

Summer, little dress and flip flops, can't bloody wait Biscuit
