Shoes with arch support that aren't sketchers!

I've found out recently that I need arch support in my shoes (I have some insoles that promise arch support but don't think they really do much), so can anyone recommend something that isn't sketchers trainers? Thanks in advance!

I had plantar fasciitis and the shoes I valued most were crocs.
I bought the work style ones - ballet, mainly. And because they're so light and machine washable, they were perfect.
I'd recommend going into a shop and trying them on cos they're moulded sizing can be a bit hit and miss.

A few years ago bought some Scholl insoles, a firm clear squishy plastic, with a slot at the arch to insert the included arch support gel pads- it came with 3 different levels of support, so you could customise them to suit you. I found them all a bit too high for me, but it's a great idea and can be worn in different shoes and adjusted to fit.

Try these. They work in almost everything, support my dodgy knees (4 ops) and feet (7 ops) and they are a lot cheaper than new shoes.

Another vote for vionic though I do agree with the post suggesting you need to try a range of styles as it's the whole fit that's important.
Sketchers don't give me enough support, ecco I found rubbed back of heel, vionic for me does the trick but I do need lace up, the slip ons don't support enough.
Good luck, sore feet make a very long day drag more.

Bringing up this thread again as I have today bought my first pair of Wolky shoes.
Flare up happening and I thought I would try a new type. Also buying some new Allegrias
I went with Cardoba in blue waiting to see what I think of them. Not decided on the Alegrias today as I really want to buy the Terrazzo ones but ought to buy one of the black pairs as they would work better for work.. ho hum..

@Enko, love those Terrazzo ones, can see the temptation. Like the Wolky Rio, the Paloma have lots of fun colours and patterns. Must try some of those one day too, but as DH keeps telling me I have enough shoes!

I have one of these to myself in the hall and it's full so I'm not allowed any more, no more space. The rest of the family (DH, DS1 and DS2) probably have 8 pairs between the 3 of them on a different shoe rack.

@LadyEloise1 I know they won't be to many people's taste. I have long stopped looking for shoes that are to my taste. Now I look for shoes that won't make my feet hurt. They need air. Room -wide space for toes. Arch support. Nothing tight around them, no lace up and nothing that encloses all of my foot. Also need to have a heel band (so nothing open like a clog) as without it my PF flares up
Not a single pair of shoes I like the look of that are "to my taste" works for the above criteria. So it's substance over style for me now.

Give us feedback on how comfy they are @Enko. I also have similar issues but at 5ft 3 I need some height. So I wear a lot of flatform trainers, wedge flip flops & boots from Vionic. It's a continual compromise between comfort & fashion for me. Shockwave treatment has helped with the P.F. but not cured it.

I am now on the path you have taken re shoe style and foot comfort.
Just not quite got there yet.
Still hoping for a miracle - a gorgeous looking, comfortable shoe.
I still have hope too. Perhaps one day a shoemaker will do thus.

@LadyEloise1, it holds one per shelf, but I also have a pair on the bottom and some walking boots on the top. Plus some thin sandals fitted in as extras on some shelves.
@Cantonet, yes, same for me at 5'3, but to be honest, most shoes I have found with enough support have reasonable height in the soles.
@Enko, definitely comfort over style for me, if I can walk comfortably and they look OKish, I am happy and don't ask for more, that is life.
I have pretty much cured my PF and rarely get any flare ups now, by mainly walking in my Hoka Challenger trainers and Finn Comfort Ikebukuro, I only wear one of those for my reasonable amount of daily walking. My other shoes are for more occasional use or ones I use as house shoes.
