Shoes with arch support that aren't sketchers!

I've found out recently that I need arch support in my shoes (I have some insoles that promise arch support but don't think they really do much), so can anyone recommend something that isn't sketchers trainers? Thanks in advance!

I live in FitFlops in the summer but they do boots etc as well as flip flops. Love the arch support they give.

I hate how rigid & rock hard Birkenstocks are. I find them very uncomfortable.

Prefacing this with an apology because I know you've said no to Skechers, but are you aware that they do more than just trainers? If you look at their website they have workwear, wedges, as does and boots too.

Orthoheel by vionic. The absolute best arch support shoes in the world and v comfortable as well.

Expensive option and not everyone's cup of tea but Allegria paloma shoes. Amazing support but over £100 a pair.

Forgot to add if you do go for Allegria shoes (other styles but Paloma) they come up large i am a full size smaller in them. (And now shoe shopping as I've got insomnia)

I have discovered that it doesn’t matter simply which shoes offer arch support. You also have to find the right fit for your entire foot. This unfortunately means trying on several pairs and comparing them. Ie- Birkies are like putting canoes on my feet. I literally flop around and fall out of them. They also hurt my arches. Dr Martens - which so many people complain about, fit me perfectly. So do Sorel boots. (They don’t seem to fit anyone, so no idea why they fit me.) ASICS gave me shin splints and Nike fits me perfectly. (Except for my ethics, dammit!) I now I have orthotic insoles because I have a soft tissue disorder and I have to size up to fit them, but I still find the same shoes fit my feet.

I need arch support in my shoes. I have three-quarter Talarmade arch prosthetics which were given to me by the hospital foot clinic, and just pop them in the shoes I want to wear that day. For sandals I usually buy Stride sandals. Often I wear Teva walking sandals, and I bought a small black stick on arch support which has been brilliant and unnoticeable. I have found a lot of the arch supports sold in shops just aren't firm enough to do the job, and nearly all the shoes claiming to have impressive support aren't good enough. Gor what it's worth, the hospital told me Fitflops probably contributed to my foot problems as although they are comfy they don't have a lot of support

I highly recommend going to a podiatrist and getting fitted arch supports - they’ll be able to tell you what type of shoes you can look for. I’ve got brogues and low heeled boots and I took my arch supports to the shoe shop to check what fitted.

Vionic. Birkenstock. I've also got some half length arch support insoles from Amazon which work well (but you need the shoes/boots to be a half size too big to accommodate the insole.

I loved my sketchers til they ruined my feet. They are comfy but long term they are not supportive.

I get arch supports that slip on your foot from Amazon, they are small green cushions with an elastic strap. I have a job where I am constantly walking and they really make a difference.

I've just bought my first pair of MBT shoes as I have arthritis in one foot. They're incredibly comfy and I can walk pain free again.

Also Strive are good - although some of the designs are horrid some are ok!

I have Strive flip flops and they are wonderful.
Ecco are good.
My Fitflop sandals are good.
Gabor Rollingsoft range have worked well for me.
I wear Merrell trainers for walking.
