The Spud

MiracleToast · 01/04/2023 16:27

@Dee1224 😂

Countmeout · 01/04/2023 16:46

I am waiting to see what the kindred gift is !
I would quite like the twig!!!!
I loved the scarf last year and have worn it quite a bit.

@Countmeout what is the twig for exactly?

I am new to kindred so etc exciting

Dee1224 · 01/04/2023 17:00

@MiracleToast - it’s a ‘Dibber’, which is apparently a stick used to make holes in soil for seed planting! It just made me laugh in the Toast homewares section as it is literally a twig!

@Countmeout - I suspect my sister would like it too, as she’s an obsessive gardener, (but she’d prefer socks🤣)

MiracleToast · 01/04/2023 17:04

Oh @Dee1224 i have just been seeding! But I too would prefer something other than a twig 😅🌱

TerrierOrTerror · 01/04/2023 17:31

I have a gift coming my way, thanks to whoever posted about how to figure it out!

I hope it isn't a twig. The terrier of my username likes twigs...

missmoon · 01/04/2023 17:38

Please can someone help with the new sizing? I always used to get M in Toast, which was a good fit with the old sizing.

I'm looking at some of the new spring knitwear. I'm usually a size 12 for tops, but sometimes buy 14 if it's tight-fitting, as I'm an E in the bust and a bit round in the waist area.

Should I get the S/M? Will it be too small? The L/XL sounds too big for me. Thank you!

missmoon · 01/04/2023 17:42

Also, is the new M (it says 10-12) smaller than the old M?

Confused Seriously? Ffs!
neveradullmoment99 · 01/04/2023 17:58

How 'cheap'

Countmeout · 01/04/2023 17:58

I often think it depends on the garment @missmoon . Although I haven’t bought any knitwear with new sizing I have bought a blouse and found no difference. I usually buy S or M in knitwear as it depends on the actual item how generously it fits and I still think it is very unpredictable. I imagine L/XL would be far too big however. Which item is it? Could you make some sort of judgement by looking at the fit on the model?

OP posts:
Countmeout · 01/04/2023 18:00

If it says Easy fit I would stick with the M

Was the twig in the sale? I can’t find it on the website.

Laska2Meryls · 01/04/2023 18:09

@missmoon .. I am also a 14 D/E in bust ... Some things ( like the boat neck tees) I am now having to get XL! Its vv annoying( and must be even more for Toasts larger clientele ( and lets face it 16-18 is hardly massive.. ) who are now effectively unable to purchase any longer .. I now usually order L for tops.. but as always with Toast its unpredictable..! .. the recent Thorn shirt I had to size down ..

Laska2Meryls · 01/04/2023 18:10

I dont want a twig!! I want socks !!!! ( Stamps foot) ..
Itll probably be a decoration of some sort ....

neveradullmoment99 · 01/04/2023 18:22

The boatneck tee I ordered in a large and it's a bit big on the neck! It's actually stretched out. My.oyhers are mediums ( old sizing)

Me neither! I don't want a decoration either!

Countmeout · 01/04/2023 19:12

I think they only do decorations at Christmas. 🤞🏻

Ok, come on, who's expecting the 1st package with a gift so that we can all set our clocks for the update?

Stravaig · 01/04/2023 19:21

You can sometimes see multiples of the same small item appear on eBay after a Kindred gift drop :)

Dee1224 · 01/04/2023 19:25

@Countmeout and @neveradullmoment99 the Dibber was in the sale at £15, reduced from £25. It entertained me no end all through the Xmas sale and I was thrilled to see it back again briefly last weekend as I have been threatening to give it to my sister for her birthday 🤣. It is, quite literally, a twig, (albeit quite a nice one!)

I am going to laugh quite hard if it’s the Kindred gift, (not that I am bitter or anything that Toast haven’t invited me to the club 🥲)

I am sure it won’t be that…
