*pay in 3 I meant!

I already have one of those aprons which I use quite a bit. My sister in law took a shine to it when she visited last year and spent the day wearing it (Grin) so this one is for her birthday later in the year.

Dee1224 · 24/03/2023 09:51

Klarna does sound like it would be helpful @AFingerofFudge!

I am still annoyed that toast don’t have sale stock instore, (although I realise that not everyone would be able to get to a shop).

I know I would have bought much less if I had been able to try it on first. Leaving aside the walloping I have given my cc, I do worry about my carbon footprint 🙃

Dee1224 · 24/03/2023 09:52

🤣@AFingerofFudge. I am developing an apron fetish as I almost bought the denim one just now in the sale!

Firesideknitting · 24/03/2023 09:55

please may I ask if anyone has this top … the linen workwear shirt … I absolutely love the shape but not so sure on the colour options…. I’ve ordered but I have a feeling it may go back .. have to say I’m loving this sale and no postage after being made a kindred member in January..

also the little kindred gifts are they sent out at specific times or just as and when with a order ? I only ask as I’ve already placed a good few orders from the new collections at full price .. I did get a £30 off voucher to use, so maybe I’ve had my gift ?

I LOVE my Toast apron (she says sounding like a 1950s housewife 🥳). Mine is an oatmeal coloured linen with red grosgrain straps. Truly beautiful. I wear it when I bake, so approximately 4 times a year. On that basis it will be an heirloom item to pass down…

Firesideknitting · 24/03/2023 09:56

The aprons are amazing… I had 2, managed to set one on fire the other month ! I will patch it but I ordered a replacement and an extra last night ….

Saurus72 · 24/03/2023 09:57

@Firesideknitting Toast sent you a £30 voucher?! I’ve spent hundreds of pounds a year for over 15 years and never had a voucher!

OftenOrange · 24/03/2023 10:00

I ordered the black embroidered kaftan dress in 8 my usual size , too late read reviews that it comes up really large and now sold out.
Also ordered the retro looking painted check brown and white sundress , dithered on it in the last sale because I have the top in same . Love that fabric and silhouette.
The only item I’ve had a thing about is the forest green overcoat which I adore ., but my Isabel Marant overcoat is still great 4 yrs on and it won’t like competition. Also I tried the green coat in store and the sleeves are very short.
Talking myself out of it …….

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 24/03/2023 10:04

@Firesideknitting I bought that workwear shirt in the olive in the last sale, it’s a colour that works well for me. I was actually pleasantly surprised as I wasn’t sure about the shape but I’ve found it really useful.

Yes of course used it asap, I’d had my eye on a couple of dresses …. I’ve had a couple over the last year, I think £45 in total I got a £15 last year then £30 probably beginning of this month I think… I’d say probably 90% of what I buy is full priced …

Ahh brilliant, I love the shape and style, was just unsure of the shade … however as ever with toast you can never tell until you’ve got it in hand as the camera isn’t always reflective of true colourings. Thank you it’s very kind of you to reply

Dee1224 · 24/03/2023 09:47

@neveradullmoment99 have you had any pinafore news? I hope that Toast tell me that I am getting a refund soon if it’s not coming! I am a bit annoyed that they would take payment for something not in stock, (if that is what has happened!)

Mine was cancelled!

Brackenfield · 24/03/2023 11:19

I really don't understand the new sizing. Ordered the easy tee in two colours, one in old size small, and one in new medium. The new medium is smaller than the old small (I thought the rejig was the other way?) both fit acceptably on a busty size 10/12 but the old size small is a more oversize fit that I prefer

Ive never had a voucher and have spent a lot full price! I think that is very unfair. Maybe I am still not spending enough.

Toast should have left the sizing. It was consistent in the past in the sense you knew to size down. What they should have done was give accurate measurements for clothing. Job done. Its so much worse now.

Completely agree. Made buying on eBay even more of a minefield as well. I've reorded a Large in the new size, sadly got the right fit in the yellow tee which makes me look like a minion with all my navy trousers 😅

Dee1224 · 24/03/2023 11:40

@neveradullmoment99 - I too have just received a cancellation email for the pinafore 🥲

lordloveadog · 24/03/2023 11:46

Thank you @neveradullmoment99 !

dudsville · 24/03/2023 12:07

I liked the rosewood and green in the neat cardis too, you can't go wrong for £65, but I've sat on my hands. I eish the green was adequately depicted.

I also do all of this on a credit card, one especially for toast sales, i then pay it off in full once my returns have been completed. It causes too much havoc in my regular account which cannot accommodate the large purchases.

I also like treating this as if I've gone to a toast shop!

I love those aprons but i have to remind each time that i don't need one. I think (name escapes me - petite blonde tv historian) wears ine in last christmas' history of christmas special.

dudsville · 24/03/2023 12:08

Of course as soon as i hit send... Lucy Worsley!

Laska2Meryls · 24/03/2023 12:33

I tried those linen aprons in the last sale...and because the crossover straps were not at all adjustable it was far too tight over my bust .. I never thought that id be too large for an apron !!
How annoying that they are cancelling orders ..
I did make another nightdress order last night ( the cluster print , now oos) .. my other order has been dispatched but not had a notification about that one yet ...

dudsville · 24/03/2023 12:43

I'm such a dope, i just bought the buffalo check. Fingers crossed it turns out like that dress i lost out on, the one that built up in my mind as the the "what would have been" most perfect item, the one that once finally bought in a sale turned out not to suit me 😅

MerryChristmasToYou · 24/03/2023 13:04

I have a denim cross-back apron similar to the Toast one, and it's not a one-size fits all style. I got mine in a charity shop for £2, great nick.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/03/2023 13:44

I had a very similar one from seasalt for a fraction of the price. It was green linen. I have another one from H&M that I wear all the time. A lovely denim one. Really cheap and I don't care if it gets damaged. The Toast aprons are a lot of money.

TerrierOrTerror · 24/03/2023 13:56

My order has been dispatched - super speedily. I am tempted by a couple more things, but reading reviews I'd need a smaller size and there are none available.
