Best bar soap?

Tell me your favourite bar soap, that can be used to wash the whole body in the shower/bath.

Is it better to use an actual soap, or a 'beauty bar' (Dove?) I get thrush easily so I would like a gentle one if possible.

Blue Pears soap , I love it

Imperial Leather original for my sensitive skin, not the white one that's drying. And yes rest it on its label and it drains beautifully. Clever!

Love the lemon oil one from Pears. Buy a dozen at a time on Amazon

Is that the blue one?

I bought it at the weekend and it is lovely.

Does your water type affect soap? I use Imperial Leather and it stays as a bar and lasts for aaaages.

I also like the Soap and Glory soap bar just because I love the smell.

Yes hard water can make soap froth less. I bought some shampoo bars online and they were rubbish, couldn’t get them to ‘work’. Until I discovered if you wet them with vinegar they froth better - the acid counteracts the limescale.

Dove. Love the smell.

I like Pears orange soap, but am trying to cut down on my palm oil purchase so I switched to this, which lasts forever for a moderate price.

Accordjng to the reviews also good if you have a coconut allergy because it's in so many other soaps.

Pears was my favourite everyday hand soap, and then they changed the formulation, so the scent is not quite the same, and the bars turn to slush more quickly. I have a small stash of the old bars, just to occasionally smell them !
I really like Nesti Dante , and Claus Porto soaps. The former are more affordable. My favourite bath soaps are Floris , I sometimes splash out on them or my Mil gives them to me. I love Diptyque soaps too, they are firm and stay useable right to the end of the bar, which means although expensive they last a long time.
I am slightly obsessed with soaps. They way the scent fills my tiny bathroom.

Reviving multiple zombie threads to post a link to what is obviously your shop...if the smell really did last for aggggggggges you probably wouldn't need to

Faith in nature Lavender is my favourite. Holland and Barrett, waitrose and large Boots sell it.

No, you're a spammer, who reopened a defunct thread to promote your shop, which brought it into active.
Vix and I then posted because we saw it in active.

Searching for threads about soap from months ago and posting on them with a recommendation is quite obviously not "joining the conversation" 🤣

I use black soap for my body, and hair. It is natural, and I love how easily it lathers. I buy mine from Akoma Skincare.
