Hello!

I need some brow help please.
I'm rubbish with beauty treatments and make up.

So, I have one brow slightly higher than the other. It isn't so obvious in the mirror but partner just took a pic of me and it's all I can see!

One of the main issues is that the brows are different shapes, one has more of an arch and the other a little flat.

What sort of shape should I go for? What treatment would be best?

I want to get them style but ultimately I'd like them as thick as possible and not overly arched. Can I save them?? 🤨

Also to add, I had Botox 2 weeks ago and the first pic was taken before this. My brows are always asymmetric but I think the Botox has made it worse- going to go back for a top up next week..

Oh and one pic is a selfie and other taken by partner, so eyebrows on the opposite sides in each pic.

You should ring your Botox clinic and ask to be seen tomorrow.

Unless one was higher before? Then you need a top up definitely. 2 weeks is the best time have this but can be done up to a month after but not if it can be helped

SleekMamma · 18/02/2023 17:59

Sorry but why in earth are you having Botox? You will never be more beautiful!

Anyway, I have exactly the same eyebrows. With careful eyebrow powder and a slanted brush I can make them look mostly the same. Noone else will notice. Noone does notice

Whoever gave you Botox clearly has no professional ethics!

First rule of eyebrows... Eyebrows are sisters, not twins!

Whiskeypowers · 18/02/2023 18:11

Sisters not twins for eyebrows
they are quite fabulous

you do NOT need Botox !

Ah beat me to it! But so true 😊

DecommissionedVag · 18/02/2023 18:13

Agree with pp...eyebrows are sisters not twins.

Mine aren't symmetrical either.

soboredtonight · 18/02/2023 18:19

Mine are like this naturally too. It's all I can focus on when I'm on a teams call.

I just pencil and use eyebrow gel but no one notices I don't think.

Cocobutt · 18/02/2023 18:23

On your recent photo the one on my left when looking at it (your right?) looks much thicker at the beginning part of your eyebrow.

I would trim it down on top so it is slightly thinner and lower down to match the other one.

I would then try and create an arc on that one the same as the other one (use a pencil or something to work out where the arc should be) and then use a pencil to make that eyebrow a bit longer.

YellowSubmarineB · 18/02/2023 18:28

Personally I’d have it microbladed - you’ll get a semi-perm thickness and greater symmetry.

No idea bout the botox. That hasn’t happened with mine. My practitioner did mention there are certain places not to add it to as can cause a droop, but this does wear off.

You do have beautiful eyes 😍

Iminlovewithmyhotwaterbottle · 18/02/2023 18:39

It's definitely not all down to the Botox, I promise! I think it's exacerbated some asymmetry but they are asymmetrical anyway. Also, I think it's largely to do with the shape of my brows, some of which should hopefully be corrected by a beautician. I just don't know what to get done.
I definitely need the Botox!
The nurse who does it, has done it for me a few times but this time she added more Botox because it was wearing off in 4 weeks!

Haha true but I'd like them to be blood-related sisters rather than step sisters 🤣

I meant because you didn’t need it!

Iminlovewithmyhotwaterbottle · 18/02/2023 18:58

@Kra ahhhhh 🤣 I thought you meant my eyebrows are so bad that she's unethical!

Honestly, my skin is worse in reality than these pics.

They appear quite thick at the bridge of your nose. I'd pluck/ wax the lower brow line to make this bit slightly thinner which will make both brows appear more even. You have absolutely stunning eyes and your natural brow shape is beautiful- you don't need to do much at all!

Lots of brow bars around but don't go to one unless they've got good reviews/ come personally recommended!

plumduck · 18/02/2023 19:04

You have lovely eyebrows. Personally I would go and just ask for them to be tidied up to start with. Then see how you feel then.

Madamecastafiore · 18/02/2023 19:12

Just go and get them waxed. A good beautician will be able to get them to match as much as they possibly can.

7eleven · 18/02/2023 19:32

I have the exact same issue. Botox can help OR make it worse.

I use an expensive, ex dentist to do mine. It has to be put in very precisely and you have to compromise (in my case - you don’t have wrinkles!) between lifting the brow and relaxing the muscles too much that they droop. it’s important not to use too much.

Most of my Botox actually goes in the other side of my forehead.

You need a really skilled, experienced practitioner.

Iminlovewithmyhotwaterbottle · 18/02/2023 19:46

It's a strange one with the Botox. I naturally have low brows, the first Dr who did my Botox refused to touch my forehead. The 2nd Dr was a plastic surgeon, he was fab at immobilising my forehead so I didn't get lines but could still lift my brows and never got a droop.
I now go to a nurse as it's closer location wise but she hasn't got it right.
First few times I still had a lot of forehead movement and Botox wore off in around 4 week. This time she has added more but I can barely lift my brows at all. Regardless of Botox though, I have asymmetric brows.

I think it’s really easy to fixate on slightly uneven (ie normal) eyebrows - I don’t know why but I’ve done it myself.

Yours look normal - go to a good threading place and get them tidied. In your present frame of mind I think you’ll over correct if you try and fix them, and generally eyebrows are better done professionally.

Luredbyapomegranate · 18/02/2023 19:52

Also I think you need to go back to your old guy for Botox. This nurse sounds useless.

Obviously only going on my experience, but my ex dentist does manage to get mine symmetrical and it lasts about six months.
