Hello!

I need some brow help please.
I'm rubbish with beauty treatments and make up.

So, I have one brow slightly higher than the other. It isn't so obvious in the mirror but partner just took a pic of me and it's all I can see!

One of the main issues is that the brows are different shapes, one has more of an arch and the other a little flat.

What sort of shape should I go for? What treatment would be best?

I want to get them style but ultimately I'd like them as thick as possible and not overly arched. Can I save them?? 🤨

I do agree about the Botox. I like this lady and she's more local but it's been a bit of a disaster. The other Dr would assess my face, add more Botox to one side to reduce asymmetry. He'd take lots of pictures and draw on my face.
It's good but I am so SO self conscious. I even avoid mirrors. So him talking lots of photos and assessing my face actually stressed me, which is one of the reasons I stopped going. Also he was really lovely and competent but if was a 40 min journey each way and he'd keep me there for an hour with his talking. He'd also advise me on mantras and Buddhist videos to watch.
I think what mostly puts me off going back is that we had a good relationship (not in any way inappropriate) and I feel bad and embarrassed that I've been going somewhere else 🙈

May I ask what you are getting the Botox to do/correct/fix?

Iminlovewithmyhotwaterbottle · 18/02/2023 21:07

I have Botox in several areas; forehead, "elevens", brow lift (never really see a lift but I appreciate its limited) and crows feet.

I really do mean this to be nice, but what will you do when you are 50? If you think you need Botox now?
As you really really don't.

I get what you're saying to a very small degree OP but I honestly think it looks more like the eyebrows just need shaping and a good brow person could sort this, especially over time managing regrowth. Botox not necessary (because it never really is for aesthetic reasons lets face it, let alone when the professional doing it is either getting it wrong or dishing out prescriptive religion) but what you do in that respect is your business.

Ruthy45 · 19/02/2023 02:08

I'd even them out with an eyebrow powder and a small angled brow brush

The beauty is in the difference just like eyes.

Whoever gave you Botox clearly has no professional ethics!

You don't know much about Botox or ethics. Even the best practitioners can administer Botox that causes a droop or unexpected lift. At worst it's poorly executed but even good injectors can get this result due to differences in facial structure and reactions.

In any case this has nothing to do with ethics. Ethics would come into play if they refused to see you to resolve the issue.

Oh dear @journeyofinsanity it sounds like a nerve has been touched.

Read my posts again. My comment was not about the results of the Botox, it was the fact it was given in the first place.

The ‘aesthetics’ industry has a huge problem in people administering treatments where there is absolutely no need to do so. The before photos clearly show that OP does not need Botox (putting aside the argument of course that no one needs Botox). Therefore whoever administered it has practised unethically.

Not sure if anyone is interested but got my brows done today. I just went for a wax and tint. She was really good and showed me how to use eye pencils etc. We are working on growing out some parts, so she has left some parts alone but they look better!
