Shapewear recommendations

Hello, I am hoping from some advice from you stylish lot: I’m attending a gala awards dinner and have bought a long fitted dress. What’s the best shapewear and bra to wear underneath? I’d like to avoid seams, vpl and muffin top. I had a look at Spanx, but it has mixed reviews. Thank you!

A friend recommended this one from John Lewis to me, I haven’t bought it yet, but from the reviews and pictures it looks good. You can wear your own bra with it, comes in two colours:

I looked at this but couldn't tell if it had a press stud opening or if you had to take the straps off to go to the loo?

According to the reviews they have two sets of poppers so no need to take it off, and can adjust the length.

I got them recently, fantastic, really comfortable and if you get the body suit you don't need to wear a separate bra, and I say that as someone who is bigger in the chest area!

Wouldn't get anything else now
