Fairfax and Favor

Anyone love this brand? Or not? I love some of the boots and bags, they are £££ though. I dislike their "customer of the month" competition, as you have to already have bought something to be able to enter 🤣

Also, they seem to be turning into a bit of a "uniform" for impractical country style.

Disclaimer- I'm neither stylish nor blessed with the money to buy lots from them. Neither do I fit the tweed skirt/white jeans, slim young thing look (annoyingly)

I bought my first pair at Badminton horse trials about 6 years ago and they are the best boots I've ever had. Really comfortable and well made.

No. Their Facebook advertising drew me in and I bought some of their stuff a few years ago. I’ve been on their group page for a while now, so feel I’ve seen it all!

Maybe I should get a job with them - I’d love to know what the markup is on their clutches and basic belts (must be hefty as they’re very simply made…)

Do you have a bag that would match my grey reginas? Apparently that colour was discontinued.

I've seen them for years at the high profile horsey events and do love the Reginas and all the original styles. I've got a few pieces but curate them carefully BUT the new catalogue is vile, they are moving further and further away from their core customer and this is what did for Joules in the end. I actually now prefer the Penelope Chilvers boots and I can see F+F becoming more and more mainstream with quality and design getting worse.
Agree with so much emphasis on influencers has really put me off the whole brand.

Oh, don't get me started. The Chantilly shoes made me do a sick in my mouth. The Kitty coat is quite possibly the most banal and uninspired redesign of a potato sack I've ever seen (at least the shoes prompted a reaction). But the worst thing is their insistence on using American language for what is supposedly a(n) "heritage" British style brand. e.g., "Launching April". No, it's Launching IN April. "Available Tuesday". Do you mean it's Available FROM Tuesday? Immediately shatters the illusion for me.

I've not seen anything called Chantilly or Kitty on the website. That's weird.

For a similar vibe of the traditional Spanish riding boots, I got mine from Spain direct for a fraction of the price of F&F.

I find the F&F “look” pretty naff, unless you really are a posh horsey type!

I used to love Fairfax, sadly the quality has really really gone downhill! And customer services are hit and miss.

Some of the other Facebook pages are great but the main one is like a cult.

I like my Reginas. I haven’t found tall boots that are long or narrow enough before and I always receive compliments when wearing them. I think they look smart with skinny jeans or jumper dresses and I live in mine! Also have a pair of Monaco wedges which I think look nice. Not a fan of much else on their website and struggle to understand the slightly slavish followers on their club page.

Someone on there yesterday posted a pic of their boots in a toilet cubicle. With their jeans scrunched down so that you could see the matching belt. So they were clearly sitting on the loo when they took the picture. Classy.

I have some of their brancaster sandals which I love but the zips slip at the back when I walk which is annoying. I also have a Chatham purse which is brilliant. I've brought & sold on many of their bags and a pair of Regina's! I think some of their products are nice but not really my style so much these days.

Anyone seen the £70 keyring that comes with a bag for life in it? Absolutely ludicrous pricing!

Yes it is crazy but the die hards will love it! This is why I think they are diluting the brand, I just don't understand how it fits into the history of the brand. It just comes across as a gimmick 🤷‍♀️ That blush colour too for spring 🤢 The designs over the last 12 months are looking cheap eg the high heeled court shoe, Heacham sandal etc.
I am much more moving over to Penelope Chilvers now.

@twistyizzy I've also moved over to Penelope Chilvers for boots and Strathberry for bags. Much better quality and without all the fake groupies!

@Justonedayatatime11 the influencers for F+F are really grating on me, instead of giving so many people free stuff why don't they focus on the quality of design and production?
I was thinking of buying a pair of Boudicas but am opting for PC inclement ankle boots as the quality and design look so much better. I've also left all the F+F groups.

History? - it's ten years old. And I doubt they want anyone looking too closely at history...

@DogInATent 10 years is still history in context of current retail market.
