Damnation! How hard is it to find a white maxi dress that is not

Bridal looking
plus size (18/20)
Not bastard viscose

I need it for a cruise. White night.

I know I don't have to wear white but it would be nice I guess to do so. Though white is not my colour!

Any ideas?

Sadly @Niftythrifter although I like the look of the Bon Prix dress it is bustard Viscose. I would last 5 minutes before my forehead , neck and back are running in not very ladylike sweat! Breathable material my arse!

@peachgreen sadly I for some reason do not like the prints. I think I feel that if it has that much colour it might as well be a different colour base.

@MarshaMelrose Yeah I re alise I don't need to wear white. I actually look better in warmer colours so ivory or cream etc or something completely and I do understand some peeps do not even bother.

But for once I want to get all 'dressed up' but without looking like Miss Havisham or completely clueless ("Oh look everyone is in all white and here is me in my purple and mustard number!"

No, no. I fully understand that you want to get into the spirit. And it's great if you can find something. I'm just saying, if you can't, don't get stressed over it. And don't go mad, spending money on something you won't wear again. Just a white skirt and a sparkly white top that you can re-wear always looks good. Or a plainer lovely top that you you can dress up with splashy jewellery. And if you wear off white, next to the guys in black, you'll still look white.

Sometimes theme nights are not necessarily formal nights so you can get away with a bit more. It'll say on your itinerary.

There'll be a captain's night which is the biggest night and other formal nights to go to town over. And even on less formal nights, some people still dress up and go to town.

But, as they say on the cruise, whatever you decide to do, have a great time. 🚢🥂💃🍹🥳

Have a fabulous cruise. I wore a white blouse and jeans and wasn't out of place at all. Lots of people in some white, lots in all white and lots in all sorts of colours.

The Whistles dress is gorgeous but I have to cover my back. No one deserves to see my backfat!!!!

I have ended up with the plain Cos dress for White night and the Top Shop one for if there is a Gala evening

Thank you all as I never knew Whistles went up to 20 or Top Shop did big sizes and although I love Cos I did not even think of them!!
