Damnation! How hard is it to find a white maxi dress that is not

  1. Bridal looking
  2. plus size (18/20)
  3. Not bastard viscose

I need it for a cruise. White night.

I know I don't have to wear white but it would be nice I guess to do so. Though white is not my colour!

Any ideas?

Does it have to be a dress? there's some fabulous flattering jumpsuits I've noticed recently (I bet I cant find any now!)

Thanks but I cannot wear jumpsuits! Incontinent! But I guess a white top and skirt? for some reasons (mainly incontinence) I daren't risk white trousers I think!

You did well! Though I think one is described as cream coloured and looks like a judo costume! Maybe the other one? I notice they avoid mentioning the material so it may be bastard viscose.

I would have to investigate how well the first jumpsuit is for escaping out of it quickly.

I do like the dress with the ivy and am not adverse at a tiny amount of decoration. Makes it less bridal.

It is only for dancing in and swanning about. Otherwise it would have baked bean stains down it like every thing else I wear!!! Just a chance for me to look vaguely smart for once!!

Me and Em have a lovely gatjered cotton midi/maxi in their sale for £90. I can’t link , but they have it in a size 16 which fits me and I’m easily an 18

It was the Monsoon one that I thought looked 'beachy'

Not sure about the other Boo hoo one.

Don't flog yourself to death over this white dress. I've done tons of cruises and, leaving aside you don't even have to wear one, you can wear white with decoration, or off white or cream or anything like that. You won't stand out as being different because most people will be doing the same. Go for something that you feel comfortable and look good in and don't obsess too much over it being just white.
Have a great cruise. So jealous.

Have a look at Donald Stanley - she makes bespoke so could easily make one in white for you. Alternatively, try Fumbalinas or Isolated Heroes - they also make bespoke. None of them are megabucks.
