Replacement for Cotton Pads for eye makeup removal.

Just that really. I have half a packet of the cottonpads that I use with Simple eye make up remover remaining. I'd like to move to something reusable and hopefully more ecofriendly. I use Waterproof mascara and powder eye shadow and sometimes eye liner.
Any recommendations please?

I bought a pack of reusable ones, you could make your own as they’re only little cotton squares but it was easier to buy them and they had loads of lovely patterns. I wear eyeliner and mascara and they do a good job, with my makeup remover. I have a little bag to wash them in.

Holland and Barrett (and Superdrug etc) do reusable cotton rounds, very handy and easy to use.
I also use a plain black facecloth - use one corner for makeup removal, then wet the whole thing and do a full face wash.

I bought some French towelling & cut into discs & sewed them onto some cotton fabric. I just wash them in my normal wash.

I have the IKEA ones which are good!

Old Tshirt cut up?

GoEasySqueezy · 09/02/2023 19:13

I like the Garnier ones, they are super soft for eyes.

these

CharlotteStreetW1 · 09/02/2023 19:16

I have these. They're great. I put them in the wash with my whites in a sock net.

For make up remover I use the oil infused Garnier Micellar Water which takes anything off.

damp flannel and any old moisturiser

I have the halo face pad ones - they're fab!!!

Richvanilla · 09/02/2023 19:24

Switch to a make up removal balm and the wipe off with a warm damp cloth?

spiderplantparty · 09/02/2023 19:27

I bought some cheap, round, white cotton ones from Amazon. They are great and just go in the washing machine with the bedding in a small delicates bag.

I like the face halo ones

Harebrain · 09/02/2023 19:30

I use Bodyshop Cammomile Cleanser with washable bamboo pads.

I also have these ones which I like. I prefer some I got from Superdrug though mostly because they are bigger in size.

Totally old-fashioned flannels here do the job just fine.

snowlady4 · 09/02/2023 20:12

Muslin face cloths? Big pack from amazon and chuck them in the wash basket?
I actually crocheted some cotton ones, intended to be given as a gift, with some nice eye make-up remover, but wasn't sure they would actually be wanted... maybe I'll make a stack for Christmas or something, if they're becoming more popular!

DisforDarkChocolate · 09/02/2023 20:15

I got a nice pack of 5 in a handy bag from M&S. You can reverse them too. Saved so much cotton wool, nice to use.

soupmaker · 09/02/2023 20:16

Treat yourself to this or just buy the washable pads.

Same. Reusable pads and micellar water.
Stick them in a bag and wash with my sheets/towels.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 09/02/2023 20:57

Face flannel?

Snugglemonkey · 09/02/2023 22:52

I use Clinique Take the Day Off cleansing balm and a flannel. Takes everything tight off and leaves skin feeling amazing.
