Lounge wear today. Trusty Icebreaker merino crush pants which are my favourite trousers and Icebreaker merino sweatshirt. DS1 and DS2 both still sneezing and coughing with Covid, DH and I still don't have any symptoms so far. So we're going to go out for a walk and get some fresh air this afternoon. It's like a waiting game, wondering if and when we'll get ill.

Hello! I was on these threads back in 2021 but then I got pregnant and dropped off.

DS is nearly 10 months now and I’m rediscovering my style mojo!

Ignore the yoga pants here, I’m just trying on my new jumper.

Yoga pants: Sweaty Betty
Jumper: Markus Lupfer

@EnoBaby I love those Zara trousers. How tall are you?

5'11

EnoBaby · 18/03/2023 14:32

I wish...

I'm 5'1 🤣

I reckon the the inside leg on them is ca. 27", which falls as full length on me, so I roll a couple of times to expose my ankles and exaggerate the carrot shape as I like that young deckhand style.

itssquidstella · 18/03/2023 14:36

@EnoBaby dammit, I actually am 5'11"! They'd probably be too short for me, then 😫

plumduck · 18/03/2023 14:41

@itssquidstella Gorgeous jumper

Jealous! I'd kill to be tall.

If you go into Zara, give them a try anyway as the carrot shape is quite exaggerated so would still look good with a significant crop to them.

Size down though - mine are a UK6 and I'm definitely not a true 6 anymore!

itssquidstella · 18/03/2023 14:41

Thanks @plumduck!

Trousers, honest opinions please. Soft cotton canvas fabric, petite size 12 from Seasalt. I struggle to find trousers that are not a jersey type fabric, but I quite like these and they fit, but need feedback. Keep or return?

I like the colour and the cut on the legs but I’m not 100% sold on the waist - they look midway between high and low waisted, and personally I'd prefer one or the other.

itssquidstella · 18/03/2023 17:12

Sorry, that was @Netcam

Puddinandpie · 18/03/2023 17:23

@itssquidstella you've done it now🥰 he's adorable
@Netcam I really like the cut on them, they suit well, but I also liked the orange ones aswell, I think there both good choices, keep them!😊

Agree, waists are difficult. Being 5'3 with a biggish chest and hips I find this difficult and it's a compromise. I can't wear high waist at all or they look like the waist starts directly under my boobs. Low waist generally doesn't fit properly and gives me a muffin top, even though it elongates my torso. So bearing in mind I have to work with the body I have, what do you think?
