@Netcam in that case I'd say go for it, they're really nice trousers! Would probably choose a different belt.

@itssquidstella, I think it's the reason I mainly wear leggings or other jersey type trousers, the waist is not seen and can be hidden under a top. But I have been trying for ages to find some canvas type trousers that are comfortable, fit and look OK. I keep ordering and sending them back!

Agree, it needs a thinner belt. Might need to buy one, I don't really wear belts, it's the only one I have.

It’s still raining! Got very very wet going out yesterday but chose some good new specs

I have an image of myself floating around on Mother's Day in a floral dress with perfectly behaved small children nearby proffering me handmade gifts.
In reality they're many hundreds of miles away and I shall spend the day in gardening clothes and then cycling gear!

Just catching up with the thread as just got back last night from a fabulous week of skiing. Was woken up this morning with a cup of tea and almond croissant in bed, a bunch of daffs and a lovely card had arrived from eldest DS. Beautiful morning here. I shall be spending my day unpacking and likely doing several loads of washing.

Apologies for not posting much, I keep wearing the same things and don't want to bore you all to death!

Yesterday's outfit:

Jeans - Primark
Trainers - Nike

Also a photo of my nails because I got them done yesterday and although I'm feeling really down about my weight at the minute, they make me happy 🤣

@Sooverthemill i'm starting to think about spring and the inevitable hunt for the holy grail of perfect white T shirt.
Ideal would be a deep V neck or scoop neck and reasonably fitted. Looking at Sezane and wondering if you have any of their nice tees? Or perhaps @toucaninjapan? And if you recommend?

Ugh the ballet school drama keeps getting on my nerves.
The owner of the school is so nosy it's driving me crazy, she needs to know everything! She's not being rude like that pianist who was interrogating me before, but she's just too much.
Are we renting or owning? Where do DH and I work? What exactly do we do? Why DD has such a weird name, are you aware that it is foreign and unusual? Who looks after DD when we are working? What nursery DD goes to?
DH was present today so I was trying really hard to be patient in front of him, but as the owner appears to be a very gossipy type and runs around telling everyone whatever she heard from us, when she wanted to know DD's nursery name, I had to ask her what did she need this information for.
She replied: "Well that's what I'm asking everyone!"
I: "But what FOR do you need this information, if I may ask?"
She (addressing other parents): "That's so strange don't you think, being asked why would I need this information? Isn't it natural?"
Nobody said anything, and she finally shut up, but DH was mortified yet again. Apparently I should have been saying "I can't remember the nursery name, hihi, silly me!", rinse and repeat each time I'm being asked so that the owner doesn't feel embarrassed because of my responses, but that sounds like too much work in my book.

Wearing my new Next leggings today for the ballet class, they're absolutely fantastic! They are supposed to be 7/8 length, but as the regular sizes were sold out in this particular print, I went for the tall size and I think it's not too obvious that the leggings are a tad too long. I'm also loving their price, I think I'm gonna get one more pair in another print.

@polkadotpixie sorry to hear that you're feeling down, I think you look fab and love the nails! That sounds like the perfect start to mother's day @EllaPaella.

We have glorious sunshine so DH and I are off for a walk and some brunch before seeing DS later.

I have the 2nd one in blue and the 3rd on in navy. The 3rd one is the most fitted I think, but I prefer the more thick fabric of the 2nd t-shirt.

I think my picture of coffee brought to me by DH pretty much sums up mothers day so far, a bit wonky! DS1 and 2 are both coughing and sneezing in their rooms with Covid and we are wondering what to do with ourselves and trying to stay away since we still feel well right now. We thought we might have a celebratory trip to the back garden and plant our seed potatoes. At the moment I'm still in my PJs on the sofa having another coffee so I won't post a picture of that.
