@Cardigansalltheway it's because viscose can shrink. So with polyester it's unpredictable. @Puddinandpie gives the rights advice cool to lukewarm by hand cold in a machine but in the most delicate setting in a mesh bag turned inside out. Try to wash as infrequently as possible!

I have two Celtic wool sweaters which I have never washed. And DH has some hand knitted wool gansies which he's never washed despite doing all kinds of mucky garden work in them. Wool seems to have magical self cleaning properties. Although I do sometimes spray a Celtic wool refresher on them.
Putting synthetic into the mix seems to upset the balance. But our resident knitter @Sooverthemill will know about that!

It’s Friday - Woo Hoo. Jumper dress and shoes from M&S. Sizing there is a bit weird - not bought clothing there for years. This is a medium which was a sale impulse buy, and I think it’s quite big although it’s meant to be a boxy style I guess. Can’t be bothered exchanging it so going to make it work, lol.

Sweater dress (inspired by ladies here, and found crumpled in a drawer!) - The White Company. Boots by Dune.
I rarely buy clothes, just keep the same old stuff on repeat. I have a daughter who works on fast fashion and climate change stuff in an academic setting (coolest job!) and she's told me some shockers. So I'm careful with quantity and brands.
BUT. I am super aware of how dull and, well, NAVY my wardrobe is,
So I am going to shop around for some colour I think. In part inspired by this thread.

That t shirt is gorgeous @Rollerbird . If it wasn't polyester I would buy it. I find polyester very uncomfortable to wear. Yesterday skirt and top white stuff, cardigan primark.

Totally in love with your jumper @Sooverthemill . I'm trying to finish a jumper for my grandson that I started in the summer (🤣) before it's too small for him! I can't imagine knitting an adult jumper.

@Cardigansalltheway, I would return it unless it was inexpensive and you want to risk hand washing. I agree wool doesn't need much washing. Most of mine goes in the wool/hand wash in the washing machine but I have a few jumpers that are a bit delicate that I wash in the sink just in case. But if it's not wool it will need more washing, I find all other fabrics start to smell whereas wool doesn't, which is why I wear it nearly all the time.

@OublietteBravo, love the bright skirt and black jumper look and looks great with trainers. @Purplecatshopaholic, I think you can carry off that boxy dress look. At 5'3 I can't wear a lot of these oversized things that are around, but I can appreciate them on others.

@Netcam sadly not wool, it's a viscose/polyester mix. I'm going to wait and see whether it's worth keeping when it arrives, I do kind of have my heart set on it!

I've got a new jacket and I absolutely love it, along with some new lace up stilleto boots which I wanted to wear this morning but unfortunately the rain stopped me, I've just ordered another 3 pairs of the same boots in different colours!🙈

@Rollerbird Haha OK , like I said I ordered 3 pairs of each colour but I really loved the darker brown so in that 3 is another pair of them, so I have 4 pairs in total being 2 browns, because like dh says I always, always moan and wish I'd bought another pair and then it's too late and there all sold out!🙈

Do other people see a pair of shoes they love but they don't have any outfits to wear them with?
I shouldn't should I? (Flower pattern slingbacks with a block heel in my favourite colours.)
