@Netcam thaks for the dress love, i'm not sure whether it's flowers that frida kahlo painted or it's the designer lofty mom who is giving her interpretation of frida kahlo flowers with obviously inspiration from frida kahlo, the designer is incredibly talented in her own right though🙂

Puddinandpie · 15/03/2023 17:51

I love your outfit today @HorribleHisTories15 great shirt

HorribleHisTories15 · 15/03/2023 20:02

Thank you @Puddinandpie . It was ironed before, but in getting everyone ready it got crushed. I've tried to leave putting my top half on as the last step or until leaving the house, only to find myself down the front path with only a vest on. Confused

I really liked your shirt dress from the other day, the cheesecloth one. You made it look really nice with your shoes.

HorribleHisTories15 · 15/03/2023 20:08

Your day sounded lovely @Sooverthemill . That dim sum looks delicious. It would be lovely to see the items that you ordered. I know what you mean about the colours not being a true representation of the online version. I've often found that the blue I've ordered online, ends up being a bit off or muted in tone. I have a few dresses like that and as a result I've not worn them quite as much as I should have sadly. I'll see if I can get them out soon to show you.

Greyhairwarmheart · 16/03/2023 07:11

Thanks for the top love @EnoBaby . I love the colour and shape of your green trousers. I also love the white blouse @HorribleHisTories15 . That dress is amazing @Puddinandpie . Sounds like a lovely day out @Sooverthemill . Yesterday top mint velvet, culottes toast.

Another fan of your blouse @HorribleHisTories15 , very pretty! I really am looking forward to warmer temperatures and ditching the layers.

Jumper: Zara
Skirt: Warehouse (made for giraffes I think, I have rolled up at the waistband a bazillion times).

Boots: H&M

Will take pics of the Sézane stuff I’ve packed up the definite returns so they won’t be modelled! @HorribleHisTories15
cardigan: Rouje 2021 ( and yes I have a white cat)
jeans: raey

Another one who really likes your top from yesterday @HorribleHisTories15. I am in the office today - heavy morning awaits! Dress is Ted Baker just recently. Boots are very old Michael Kors. Ignore the mess - dressing room space needs a serious tidy/clear out!

Puddinandpie · 16/03/2023 14:21

Haha 😆@Rollerbird it's from shein, so is defo the dress you have in your wishlist, its from the designers collection that shein does the competitions for to back new, fresh and upcoming designers! The quality is lovely and the colours are out of this world!😊

Puddinandpie · 16/03/2023 14:22

@Rollerbird what tshirt is it, I'm looking for some new tshirts on there at the minute too?

Netcam · 16/03/2023 15:06

Sooverthemill · 16/03/2023 10:22

Also, this time last year I was in sandals!

I was thinking the same, I'm still in my pink wool dress. I might actually change into something different for the weekend if it warms up. But I'm rather enjoying it, I see it hanging there every morning and I just want to put it on. I think it's my favourite dress, but still not saving it for special occasions! I did actually buy it last summer when I ordered loads of different dresses to try out for our wedding in October. I returned them all, apart from this and the dress I actually wore, which was much lighter and more suitable for the occasion and the warm weather we ended up having.

Netcam · 16/03/2023 15:07

@Rollerbird, loving those orange cords and stripey top.

Rollerbird · 16/03/2023 15:43

@Puddinandpie its this tshirt. Bit posher than my normal. I'm a tshirt-aholic but I do love this one too.

Puddinandpie · 16/03/2023 15:58

@Rollerbird that's gorgeous the colours are lush! I keep looking at the tshirts with the pics of pretty girls on with their hair all done pretty, but can't decide what colours🙈 decisions, decisions 😁

faffadoodledo · 16/03/2023 17:24

Ladies I have a dilemma, hoping that you will advise!

I've been on the hunt for a chartreuse jumper (niche, I know...) for ages and finally found what I thought was the perfect one. I excitedly promptly ordered, due to arrive tomorrow. In my haste I didn't even check the fabric so thought I'd take a look today as I eagerly await its arrival. To my absolute dismay I've seen that it's dry clean only. I honestly thought everything nowadays was at least handwash (which I usually stick through the washing machine anyway on a wool wash). I do have a couple of dresses which are allegedly dry clean only which also happily go in a wool wash, would you risk the same with a jumper? Composition is predominantly viscose with some polyester. I honestly cannot tolerate the thought of a jumper that needs dry cleaning. Could live with coats and jackets obviously but if advice is not to machine wash under any circumstances it will have to be sent back.....

faffadoodledo · 16/03/2023 18:46

Completely with you re dry cleaning a sweater. A garment has to be very special indeed (like a wedding outfit) to warrant dry cleaning in our house. But hmmm, what to do? I'm going to watch and read replies with interest!

Cardigansalltheway · 16/03/2023 18:48

It's completely ridiculous @faffadoodledo, honestly didn't occur to me that this would be the case! I feel rather peeved, first world problem I know....

Puddinandpie · 16/03/2023 19:21

@Cardigansalltheway anything viscose and polyester I would wash on a cold wash for a very short amount of time, I can't see why it wouldn't be OK, it definitely seems utterly pointless selling a jumper of all things and then expecting people to dry clean it every time it needs a wash! I'm with @faffadoodledo on this, in my life time I've literally dry cleaned a coat once🙈

OublietteBravo · 16/03/2023 20:06

How annoying @faffadoodledo. I definitely try to avoid dry clean only as much as possible (although some of my smart office wear is inevitably dry clean only).

I’m currently trying to convince myself that it might actually be Spring, and attempting to wear something other than boots.

Jumper: Warehouse
Skirt: M&S
Trainers: White Stuff

Cardigansalltheway · 16/03/2023 20:10

I agree with your assessment @Puddinandpie, I don’t see how it wouldn’t be ok on a cold, short wash - as most things are. I might see what it’s like once it arrives. If I love it I’ll keep and take the washing risk, if it’s meh then back it will go!
