Favourite shirt and tank with the new me and em combats and comfortable Hoff trainers for a day trip to London. Wasn’t sure this would happen but DS and his GF offered to look after everything so we could go out now DHs holiday fell apart. So we are going to look for an eternity ring for me. Postponed 10 years ago and hopefully now we can get one. We couldn’t afford an engagement ring so I would like something

adding in my black reiss coat for the travel

@Cardigansalltheway I love the doors in your house 👀
Exact same style and colour at my mum's, knobs and all!

EnoBaby · 14/03/2023 16:47

Boden Islington trousers again - khaki this time. I'm on the fence about them as had to size up to accommodate hips but this results in bunching round round my waist. So many brands seem to cut for narrow hips these days.

Trainers are Superga 2790 with a rope sole - obviously a winning choice for a sleety March afternoon 😆

Puddinandpie · 14/03/2023 22:10

@Sooverthemill oooooh diamonds are a girls best friend 😉 did you get your ring? I need to see it I'm a diamond nut, you should have insisted on an engagement ring also, while your there an all!!(I'm sooo bad when it comes to rings, I just want them all😁)

Keep forgetting to load pic before leaving house, any how is it me or has it gone colder again, although tomorrow I think is warming up🤞
Shirt dress- asos it's really really thick fabric so actually really warm
Shoes- boutique

I LOVE the choice of colors in your outfit @EnoBaby

@Sooverthemill I hope you had a lovely day and you've got yourself a ring you like. My engagement ring has three tiny diamonds. I like it, but I remember feeling embarrassed when I was on a business trip to the US and one of our business partners (very lovely and very wealthy woman who's married to some British aristocrat) congratulated me on my engagement and asked to show her the ring. Her ring was huge (3 carats maybe? it's the biggest ring I've ever seen), mine looked so incredibly small in comparison and I saw that she was lost for words for a second before she finally said something nice about my ring.
MIL (bless her) wasn't very impressed with my ring also, so she is getting her own engagement ring resized for me and she's added 2 additional diamonds from her earrings to make it a trilogy ring.

@Puddinandpie I imagine you have an amazing jewellery collection!

I was supposed to WFH today, but I was unexpectedly asked to cover my coworker's job in some remote location, so here I am.

@Purplecatshopaholic, @Puddinandpie and @Cardigansalltheway, loving those dresses, you all look amazing. I'm still wearing the pink wool one, so won't bore you with another picture. I love how wool can be worn multiple days without washing. @EnoBaby, I like the wide leg trousers on you and the colour is lovely. I don't have an engagement ring either, just a plain rose gold wedding band, wanted to keep things simple 2nd time round.

faffadoodledo · 15/03/2023 07:27

@Cardigansalltheway and @Netcam your beautiful jumper dresses have reminded me I have a White Co one tucked away. But I think I have missed my opportunity to wear it since the weather here in Cornwall is now beautifully spring like. Next year....!

OublietteBravo · 15/03/2023 08:32

The valley looked very pretty in the frost as I drive to work this morning. I suppose that makes having to scrape the windscreen worthwhile.

Yesterday was great. Got a ring ( no way anything like a traditional ring as they all looked so wrong to us, too shiny) and spent far too much time and money in Liberty. Had a lovely time perusing the designer clothes and bags! DH suitably bored by it all. Had dim sum at what used to be our favourite place before DD got sick and visited the national gallery to compare their offering with the Musée d’Orsay and bought books. Very odd to be a stone’s throw from
my old office in Whitehall and not nip in! It was all in all a fab day though spoiled a bit by rain on and off. Will show ring in my birthday which is April and the APC bag that DH approved

had a Sézane order arrive yesterday and was a bit disappointed by colours being utterly unlike those online. Keeping shoes for sure but going to decide on the dress when it’s not so cold!

it’s cold! We have frost
jumper:knitted by me
jeans: raey

I like that top @Greyhairwarmheart.

Gap linen shirt, old Topshop ovoid trousers and custom Converse lifts that I got this time last year, I think.

Cardigansalltheway · 15/03/2023 10:10

Thanks for the dress love everyone! I was actually considering putting it in the charity shop bag as I've had it for years and it's quite itchy to wear without a long sleeved tee underneath but I have now reconsidered!

Lol re the doors @countrypunk. They are old reclaimed ones which sounds lovely but in practice the wood seems to be very "soft" (if there is such a thing!) and has been subjected to extended cat scratching over the years. They definitely don't stand up to close scrutiny!

That sounds like a wonderful day out @Sooverthemill.

Cardigansalltheway · 15/03/2023 11:10

V jealous of both your spring-like weather (still freezing here up North!) and of the fact that you're in Cornwall @faffadoodledo - one of my favourite places in the world!

Yes, definitely jealous of Sping like weather. It's a bit of a mix here in East Anglia, -1 last night and frost this morning, sun is out at the moment but rain is forecast for later. Been wearing my ancient grey White Stuff leggings and a grey long sleeved top for exercise and housework this morning, need to figure out what to put on now as I will be outside all afternoon. Ordered another batch of different summer trousers to try from Arket, Monki and Seasalt so let's see if I can find anything suitable there. I'm motivated at the moment to try and get my body in better shape in the knowledge that my limbs will soon be exposed to the public! Even stronger motivation after seeing myself in all the Summer trousers I tried which were really unflattering. Also ordered a few overshirt/shacket type things from Arket, Monki and Levis that I might be able to wear over t-shirts or tank tops for both sun and flab protection. Most of it will probably go back, but it would be great if I could find a few suitable summer items.

Purplecatshopaholic · 15/03/2023 12:48

Rushing between meetings, lol, so logged in to see all your lovely outfits today. I’m in a dress from somewhere I can’t remember and my old faithful Dune boots.

It’s London Chinatown on the main Chinatown drag. We go because in the 80s a friend who was brought up in Hong along and spoke Cantonese always went there. It’s a bit touristy now but Chinese people were in there!

Sooverthemill · 15/03/2023 16:51

I love Southwold, what an amazing place to live. We used to go on holiday there when the kids were little. We are just outside Cambridge. Just got home, it started raining as I got in the car but I was dry all day.

Netcam · 15/03/2023 17:18

What an amazing dress, does that have pictures of (or by) Frida Kahlo on it @Puddinandpie?
