@Netcam and @OublietteBravo love your outfits a lot!

Re linen trousers @Netcam , I'd say you should try them on and see how soon the wrinkles appear on the fabric and whether that will bother you. I don't own any linen pants because I don't like how they look like after you have them on for 5 min, however they have this cool relaxed holiday vibe that is very appealing! I also find Boden trousers very beautifully cut (or maybe they have modeled it after somebody with exactly the same body shape as mine that's why it always fits so perfectly, God knows. But they really are amazing).

@Rollerbird oh I think a bought this H&M dress a couple of years ago, but I've seen lots of brands do animal prints this spring in a similar color palette, I'm sure there's something very similar out there!

I was wearing jeggings today for DD's ballet class. It's really hot in the studio and I don't know what I shall wear when the weather turns really hot, we do lots of stretching and air kicks with the kids there. I might need to buy yoga pants, I guess.

I've also received the jellyfish dress I was so excited about the other day, and I was extremely disappointed to find out that only a couple of jellyfish are actually embroidered and everything else is just printed. Back it goes!

DD is still quite excited about the ballet, and the school's owner told us we can still continue to come take the lessons for free, she said she will only start taking money from us from April. She also made sure to compliment on one of my parenting decisions (exactly the same one that the rude lady from the studio openly criticized a couple of weeks ago). Most of the parents are acting extremely nice, one of the moms went after me to say she could gift us one of her daughter's leotards if we still hadn't bought ours, and the rude lady (I think she is one of the pianists, I thought she's doing the admin stuff, but apparently not) is staying away from me, at least for now, and I'm very pleased with that!

Absolutely love the cords @Rollerbird, I may need to get a pair...

What a shame about the jellyfish dress @toucaninjapan, I was looking forward to seeing it on you!

Clearly lots of us got the pink memo yesterday 😁. Today is a spring-like green, ready for a dog walk and a pub lunch.

Love the cords too @Rollerbird, colour and shape is fab and they really go well with the jacket. Thanks for the linen trousers feedback, think really they might not really be practical enough for my needs. Just been out for a long, rather muddy country walk with one of my best friends and DH has been doing a marathon this morning. Came home to DS1 stressing about his A level Computer Science project, trying to get though Spring in one piece, DS1 has A levels and DS2 has GCSEs this summer. So it's nice to have other frivolous things to think about sometimes like summer trousers! Home now and changed out of outdoor gear into the pink dress, warm today so no cardigan needed so far!

@Greyhairwarmheart well thats sounds lovely, I forget about Lyme Regis another lovely little town, I remember sitting an eating chips with my auntie, on the cobb very nostalgic 😊 lovely jumper by the way
@Rollerbird I love those cords they look fab on you 😍
@netcam I really like those pink trousers, I'm seeing a camisole top and espadrilles and a big sunhat with them!
I've been cleaning today so no pics from me!

Sooverthemill · 12/03/2023 21:02

I'm another one who loves Dorset. I was born and brought up in Wiltshire so know it very well. I wanted to move to Dorset when we made the move here but we couldn't find a house, sadly. Always makes me think of Jane Austen and of course the French lieutenants woman! Taken the kids there loads of times for holidays when they were tiny

toucaninjapan · 12/03/2023 21:29

I totally forgot to reply to you about the shoes @Rollerbird
I had these loafers on. They look nice, but uncomfortable like most of the shoes for me unfortunately. My toes are too high, so I usually have to buy shoes 1-2 sizes bigger than my foot otherwise my toes will be pinched with each step and it gets really painful after a while, but sizing up in these didn't really do the trick.

Forgot to upload yesterday! More Botanical gardens madness. We will definitely get our cost per visit covered by the family ticket if we keep going at the rate we are! Except DH seems to think buying a coffee is obligatory Confused

Cardigan: Sainsbury's TU
Top: Levi's
Scarf: Fat face
Cord trousers: Lemmi (online vintage purchase)

Have high school expectations for spring now!

Lovely jumper, jeans and boots @Cardigansalltheway . The colours work really well together.

I like that shirt @OublietteBravo , it is complimented nicely by the jacket.

Rollerbird · 13/03/2023 08:10

Thanks for the shoe info @toucaninjapan .i always struggle with footwear for dresses if it's not boots or sandals!
That cardigan is nice @HorribleHisTories15@HorribleHisTories15

Netcam · 13/03/2023 08:46

@Rollerbird and @toucaninjapan, I'm with you both there, I find it so difficult to find comfortable shoes that actually look nice, especially as I have suffered from plantar fasciitis and have to be really careful to avoid flare ups. Shoes are always a compromise for me and I have to go for comfort over style. It amazes me that so many shoes that we are supposed to walk or stand in all day are really not fit for purpose.

Sooverthemill · 13/03/2023 08:53

I also struggle with actual shoes. The kind that have a back. That’s why I tend to wear backless or trainers. Roll on summer! I just find the back always digs in so much and hurts my leg(ankle?). And I can’t stand being uncomfortable. Russell and Bromley are the best for me, always have been

its warm! Well, 11 degrees and very very windy

Netcam · 13/03/2023 09:04

@Sooverthemill totally with you there. My entire life I have had the same problem with the backs of shoes hurting. For many years I compensated by wearing really soft shoes. But I think that was what caused the plantar fasciitis as it didn't give enough support. So about 7 years ago I had to rid of all my shoes and start again. It was a long journey, I think I ordered about 50 different pairs until I found a few types that were both supportive and didn't hurt the back of my feet. None are particularly stylish but they are comfortable and I just have to live with it. I pretty much have found one style of trainers, one style of lace ups, one style of Mary Janes and one style of sandals, so can manage to pair something with most outfits. I've never found any lace up ankle boots that work and kind of gave up on that.

Very breezy. But surprisingly mild. I’m currently working my way through clothes I haven’t worn for ages so I can work out which ones to sell on. I think I’ll keep this jumpsuit.

Beautiful shoes @OublietteBravo

DH and I took a day off today to take DD to aquarium. Today's also the day when the government announced that masks are no longer "recommended" to be worn anywhere except for trains during rush hour and inside hospitals/ clinics (hooray to that, Dobby is finally free!).
However, as I expected, almost everyone we saw today, except for a couple of bravier people, were wearing their masks. 2 year olds running around with masks on their faces, same old same old.
I was surprised however to see that foreigners (including foreign residents whom I saw speaking in fluent Japanese to shop assistants) were also all in their masks as if nothing has changed. I can understand wanting to put a mask on if you have hay fever, some specific health conditions etc., but surely that can't be everyone?
Leather jacket - can't remember, some local brand
Sweatshirt - Sezane
Cords - Boden

Cardigansalltheway · 13/03/2023 15:49

Absolutely no issue with outfits on repeat @faffadoodledo and you look great!

Glad you had a lovely holiday @Greyhairwarmheart, we've only been to Dorset once (usually go for Devon or Cornwall if we're heading "down south" for a holiday), but I really liked it and would definitely go again. I love your striped jumper as well. Loved Lyme Regis and yes @Sooverthemill I thought of Jane Austen when we went - I think it was there that Lydia ran off to with that scoundrel Wickham?!

That sounds very full on with mask wearing @toucaninjapan. I suppose some people find it hard to break ingrained habits but I was definitely very pleased to see the back of them and couldn't get mine off soon enough.

We have absolutely horrific weather today and looking at the forecast the rest of March is looking rubbish. Fingers crossed for a sunny and mild April....
