Love that coat @Benjispruce4 , so fun!

@OublietteBravo I'm surprised that jacket you're wearing is from Next, it has this "expensive" refined look that I would expect from Reiss or something similar

@HorribleHisTories15 no I don't usually cover or change my tops, however once I'm home, I immediately change my bottoms to loungewear as DD is sure to drop something on them!

@Sooverthemill @Puddinandpie thank you! I did consider for a second saying I'm sick and asking somebody else to come instead, but while I'm still quite unwell, I don't have any fever, severe stomach bug etc. so this "selfish" act would not be looked upon lightly. I thought resting for one day is just not worth the consequences of people talking behind my back how inconsiderate I am (while spreading germs is ok, just wear a mask). It's a different working culture.

I'm wearing a boxy Sezane knit (I like that the stripes are silver!) with Uniqlo jeans today. Boxy knits don't really look nice without tucking, but I didn't have a belt I found suitable and I prefer tucking with a belt on. Now I feel like I need a grey belt in my life 🤔
Do you ladies own/wear many belts?

Really like the casual elegance of your coat and outfit @Benjispruce4 . The coat looks very lush.

You look lovely again @toucaninjapan . That cardigan looks very delicate and yet warm at the same time.

You do blazers really well @OublietteBravo . I like the colour combination of your blazer and shirt together.

Went to a botanical gardens today. I dressed for chilly weather. The weather did not disappoint. Ye old faithful scarf came out again.
Jumper - unsure of brand
Cord jeans - Lemmi (vintage/ second hand)
Polar neck - Boden

You look positively cool in your pink jumper and trainers @Cardigansalltheway !

I do possess a few belts @toucaninjapan , however I seem to forget to put them on most of the time as they impede me doing a pee before my 2 year old hunts me down

Benjispruce4 · 12/02/2023 07:41

Thanks for nice comments on my outfit and coat. Being from New Look you wouldn’t expect it to be that great but it feels so silky and smooth and was £20 in a sale!! I’m a sucker for animal print and I’m old enough to remember Bet Lynch so it always feels a bit kitsch but fun.
I’m really enjoying everyone’s looks. You all look stylish but individual which is what I love 💕.

Cardigansalltheway · 12/02/2023 08:08

Wow, three absolutely fab outfits in a row. @Benjispruce4 love your whole Wagamama outfit, particularly the coat - I too am a massive fan of the Bet Lynch vibe! @toucaninjapan looking amazing as always, grey looks great on you and @HorribleHisTories15 love those cords and how you’ve styled them, such a lovely colour.

Sooverthemill · 12/02/2023 09:55

Dreadful night. Went out for dinner which was lovely. But then spent 11-1 with DD who had another anaphylaxis episode ( probably to new brand of regular drug) and being utterly terrified. We still don’t have an epidemic. Then 3-4 with her as she was in pain. So i’m a little frazzled

so, gentle day today

Great outfits @Benjispruce4 (and I love the colour scheme of your room too).

Sorry to hear you had such a rough night @Sooverthemill. Be gentle with yourself today.

I have a dull day of admin and chores ahead. Adulting can be so dull at times!

@Benjispruce4 another coat fan 🤩
@toucaninjapan I love that outfit on you, your hair looks more deeper red, it really suits you, as you've probs guessed I own a tone of belts and probs where one with every outfit nearly, I can't stand my jeans falling down😁 hope you are feeling better today🤞
@HorribleHisTories15 hope you had a fab botanical outing, I do love cord they look great 👌
@Sooverthemill hope you have a better day today, it's petrifying when it's your babies, I'm sending a giant hug 😊
@OublietteBravo I hear ya, isn't it just, that colour jumper really suits you

Puddinandpie · 12/02/2023 12:15

Their must be something in the air with people being poorly 😕
I'm still in bed trying to work my way into getting up had quite a bad endo flare up last night as my poor dh thought he might have to call an ambulance (which as we all know would be pointless I would've been waiting 10 days for one😒) last night was a whole new ball game for me as I'm thinking my pain threshold has gone up as any other time I would've hit that peak and passed out, but unfortunately I was grappling through it! It's like giving birth to 5 babies all at once while being on fire, I really wished I'd just bloody passed out! Hoping everyone has a fab chilled Sunday

EllaPaella · 12/02/2023 12:18

Oh dear @Puddinandpie and @Sooverthemill hope you both have a better day. I'm struggling with bad sinus pain at the moment, feel like I've had a headache for the last two weeks. Bring on summer and milder weather.

Puddinandpie · 12/02/2023 12:22

@EllaPaella oh no that's awful, head pain makes it so hard to concentrate, I'm defo ready for spring too, I've got lots of jackets that need wearing 🤣

Definitely the dome thing! We all love a compliment. Thank that’s nice to hear on a tricky day x

Cardigansalltheway · 12/02/2023 14:15

Hope you feel better soon @EllaPaella and @Puddinandpie, and hope that your DD is ok @Sooverthemill, that sounds like a horribly stressful and worrying experience.

A nice day of browsing around the local craft market with DH today, and we're off to MIL's for dinner this evening.

@faffadoodledo oh wow i love willow sculptures, I have 2 in my garden they always look beautiful in summer fully bloomed and they love being utterly drenched with water, so ideal for english summers (although not with the drought of last summer)

HorribleHisTories15 · 13/02/2023 06:03

Sorry to hear that @Sooverthemill . I hope that things get better soon.

You look really cool again @Cardigansalltheway . Those colours & work well together. Do your jeans get excessively wet in the rain or puddles?

I really like your outfit @faffadoodledo . You look really nice and also very focused.

Yes, thank you @Puddinandpie , the botanical gardens were really fun. We try to go as often as we can, and right now we are moving, so whenever a viewing is planned at our house, we tidy up like mad and go to the gardens. Let's see if we manage to get the family year's worth this time.

Niftythrifter · 13/02/2023 07:28

I’m not entirely convinced about the boots in combination with the rest of today’s outfit. But the alternative was to be almost entirely in black, and I wasn’t keen on that idea either!

Cardigansalltheway · 13/02/2023 10:18

Thanks @HorribleHisTories15! The jeans are absolutely fine in the rain. I think the amount of fabric makes it look as if they would trail on the ground but they sit at exactly the right length, just at the top of my trainers. They are in fact supposed to be culottes but standard Zara trouser sizes seem to be designed for super tall people - on 5'1" me their culottes and cropped styles seem to work perfectly as full length!

A working from home day today but I've been in jeans all weekend so fancied a change.

Jumper: Zara
Skirt: Oliver Bonas
Boots: H&M
