Tuesdays 4160 - perfume

Following a recommendation on MN I ordered a sample box of seven Tuesdays 4160 perfumes. To be honest I have never before really disliked a perfume to the extent of wanting to wash away the smell but I felt like this with all seven samples. Really hoped to find a nice fresh new scent. Am I alone in not liking them? - Guess I must be because they seem popular.

Thank you for all the responses - agree with @ChocChipOwl in that the perfumes are 'knocked out one after the other and sold to the fan base' - I understand it all more now and why I hated some of the contents of my sample box. @NC0223 I don't agree that you can keep perfume for years without some deterioration. I have a bottle of blue grass which belonged to my mother which I smell from time to time (she died over 10 years ago). The top-notes remind me of her but it is not wearable and like a lot of perfumes the reformulation is just not the same.

@LavenderLewis It is possible to have perfume older than 10 years, and wearable, if kept in optimum conditions. I have some from the 80s. This had been kept in a sealed box until I bought it. Perfectly wearable

I've only ever kept a couple on my dressing table that I plan to use up within a year or so.

Though I think the comments about storage and longevity were to help a pp whose perfume had gone 'off' within a 12 month period.

I’ve dug out my taster set and I’m going to wear each one for a couple of days for the next few weeks and really give them a try. Started with The Orange Tree today which smells a bit like citrusy bathroom cleaner on first squirt but will see what the dry down is like.

Love the little sweetie wrapper style wrapping they come in. It was really fun opening up my sample sets!

My sample set didn't come in 'sweetie wrappers' - it looks like something I would buy for my 9 year old niece. Within the box there was a couple that I liked but not enough to buy a full sized bottle.
