I bought a load of testers before Christmas and I'm struggling to find a standout among them. Agree a lot seem - not exactly samey, but have the same almost 'dirty' dry down on me. That could be my skin, however - I cant get on with Chanel for the same reason ; they all go sour on me.
I wanted to love Court of Ravens and it is very similar to Portrait of a Lady - which I have and really like. But there's a screechy note in there which I don't like at all. Is it the peppermint? I don't know, but that won't be a purchase for me.
Ealing Green on me smells like the body wash you get stapled to the wall in Premier Inns. Or a cheap citronella candle. That's a hard no.
Meet me on the Corner disappears after ten seconds on my skin, can't smell that at all.
Amberama dries down to a plain Amber that I can smell in a hundred other perfumes - the raspberry top note for me doesn't work with the Amber and smells very synthetic
White Queen ends up just smelling like coconut sun cream on me, not a note I'm keen on.
However, in Maxed Out, I get no coconut at all but a lot of cannabis.
A walk in the forest is pleasantly green and mossy, with a cedar note that I like a lot, but it just doesn't have the oomph to make me want to buy a whole bottle
The dark heart of Old Havana - I don't generally like rum as a note and this is far too sweet on me. This one is a migraine inducer for me.
I'm quite enjoying Shazam, although the patchouli is a touch too overbearing for my taste, and also The Sexiest scent... but not enough to invest in a whole bottle.
The only one I may repurchase is Eau my Soul which is an excellent, seamless warm blend of sandalwood, amber, honey and a myrrh note which makes me repeatedly sniff myself
I'll go back and try more in the future, as I do love the uniqueness of the brand and maybe the sort of perfumes I thought I liked are not the ones I've tried yet from them.
