Will the white trainers look still be in this spring/summer?

I don’t wear white chunky trainers as I don’t suit the dress and trainers look and am probably too old for it anyway. I did wear white Superga trainers with jeans/trousers the last couple of summers although I seem to remember they are seen as old-fashioned on here.

I was wondering what footwear was going to be in instead? Or any new 2023 fashion looks in general we can look forward to?

I saw a fashion article raving about 90's mules. And asos have a whole section of them for their spring clothes !

Also - I don't give a shit what's in to be honest ! I wear what I'm comfortable in (converse, vans, leggings, cycle shorts, tshirts and midi dresses 😆)

Chunky, 90s style shoes with ankle socks seems to be what's in:

Chunky, colorful trainer/ankle socks
Chunky loafers/ankle socks
Chunky sandals/ankle socks

Ugly as hell!

In my mini survey of trainers in a cafe in Cranbrook, Kent this morning, there was no dominant style. I did see one New Balance and one Nike Basketball high top shoe, a style I’ve seen creeping in locally. Others included low boots, mikes, Redboks, pumas and walking shoes.

Nikes, not mikes
