That will go into boots, that won't dig into my tummy. Is this the holy grail of trouser? Has anybody found them? 🙏

M&S do lots of nice tapered and wide leg options, they're as comfy as joggers but look smarter

ImAvingOops · 10/01/2023 09:58

I bought the M&S cord leggings. They basically do the same job as normal leggings but look a bit smarter.

Swanna · 10/01/2023 10:10

Ooh will look at those thanks!

Maternity peg leg trousers 😍🤭

PAFMO · 10/01/2023 10:17

M&S wide legged jersey trousers. I think they're about £20 and are like the £££££s Me&Em Palazzo pants but thicker jersey and better quality. I live in them. The heavier weight ones they do in winter just look like smart black trousers (or navy, or dogtooth) from a distance.

ZaZathecat · 10/01/2023 10:18

Zara jogger-waist trousers are the bomb for this. Smart, flattering and stretchy waistband at the back - so comfy.

Just spotted you wanted narrower, to go into boots. I think they do straight leg as well.

Swanna · 10/01/2023 10:18

Don't they get all wet at the bottom if it's winter and rainy @PAFMO ?

A bit I suppose. But in black you don't notice. 😂

Matalan do some, dd has 4 different ones for work.
Like leggings but thicker and patterned, mainly check.
Search for textured leggings.

Cheeseandabsolutelycrackers · 10/01/2023 10:34

M&S jeggings, I bought two more pairs at the weekend they were £9 in the sale. They keep the stretch and hold in the tummy without pinching.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 10/01/2023 10:49

I'm looking for this too! @ZaZathecat those Zara trousers look great. What's the sizing like - I'm a 10 or 12 in Next so assume I'd need medium?

beepbeepme · 10/01/2023 10:50

Next jetsey jeggings/jeans leggings. I have these in black and blue. Look like skinny jeans, but are VERY stretchy and comfortable. I think they were around £24, but definitely worth it, I wear them every day.

beepbeepme · 10/01/2023 10:51

I think it's the.

Roman do a lot of elasticated trousers which are good for work.

Reluctantadult · 10/01/2023 11:13

I have M&S ones for work but am struggling to find a non joggers comfy trouser for daily family wear.

StStephensTower · 10/01/2023 11:27

Second the M&S jeggings, they are quite thick so are smart and quite durable.

Handbagsandgladrags81 · 10/01/2023 12:28

Google 'magic trousers'

Amazon do pretty much every colour.

ZaZathecat · 10/01/2023 12:38

@AngelsWithSilverWings yes a medium I would guess. I'm a small 10 in Next and got a small. They fit perfectly but without room to spare

AngelsWithSilverWings · 10/01/2023 12:58

@ZaZathecat thanks - I've ordered for delivery tomorrow!

albird · 10/01/2023 14:14

I have the finsbury pant from Saint and Sofia and they are great .Here

ZaZathecat · 10/01/2023 14:53

@AngelsWithSilverWings sorry, just double checked - I got a medium

AngelsWithSilverWings · 10/01/2023 15:10

@ZaZathecat oh no! They may not fit me them . I have v skinny legs and hips but a tummy and non defined waist ( typical apple)

I have the problem that anything that fits my waist is too baggy everywhere else.

The Next jersey leggings mentioned upthread are always good for me and I wear a size ten in those. I just don't find them smart enough.
