Bar soap for shower

Can anybody recommend a good one where the scent lasts? I prefer vanilla, chocolate (cocoa butter) scents but open to any! I've been through a few soaps (nesti Dante etc) but not found one I want to stick with!

I need to stay off S & B as I am building up a mental shopping list for a shopping trip to Meadowhall Grin

Gruum do a cocoa butter soap. I haven't used mine yet thought to know if it lasts.

Tropic soap bar is amazing and last for ages

Beekman 1802 Goatsmilk Soap , lots of scents , I;m sure there was a vanilla/honey scent

I bought some from QVC , it does last quite well but I live in a hard water area that isn't good for soap anyway .

@Itchintobestitchin - although this is a thread about soap...

Soap storage hack if anyone is interested…

get the shower poof things and cut the string that binds them together.

you’ll end up with a long ‘tube’ of mesh fabric. Cut off about a foot in length.

Tie knot in one end, pop soap in other and knot other end.

tear small hole in one end for hanging up soap in shower after use.

keeps soap dry in between uses and the fabric helps the lather!

I know, but thank you anyway. My original reply was to a previous poster who commented and asked a question, not the OP.

I’ve been using an expensive rose scented French soap that I found in my knicker drawer. It feels drying when I use it, and I’ve noticed that I’m a bit itchy at night, so it’s back to Dove.

Not really, but I have always used soap and not shower gel/body wash so I have no point of comparison. I think the hardness of the water makes a difference, and we have moderately hard water where we live.

No residue if you spray and shower round the bath with hot water when finished.

L'occitane, Claus Porto (gorgeous wrappers on these too) Floris - the boxes of three are sometimes a 'special buy' at John Lewis. And TkMaxx. I always get the Scottish fine soap 'au lait' if they have it.

I do that anyway.

I buy the French soaps in the markets when I'm there, loads of scents and they last well. I buy them online If I run out, but it's more expensive.

I keep it in one of those exfoliating cloth soap saver bags, which hangs on shower door handle, avoids the soggy mess

That's what I do too make sure I buy enough for the whole year when we go.

I read somewhere that glycerine soaps don't cause scrum. Anyone know if that's true? I use a shower gel as we live in hard water area. Would love to use soap though.
