Does a Hollywood wax itch as it regrows?

Booked for Saturday and having second thoughts! Is it going to be horrendously itchy as it regrows? It does when I shave as I have very thick dark hair. Might switch to a standard wax instead if so! Thanks in advance.

For the love of god, just buy a Phillips Lumea and never again have to have a stranger yanking out your pubes!

Pain free, and after a couple of months of use, it’s more or less permanent.

Why anybody still resorts to waxing is beyond me.

As labia and around anus are a different colour skin I thought it wasn't advised to use the Phillips?

Those lines things don't work on all skin tones and hair colours. I can't use them, so I'll continue to have a stranger yank out my hair thanks

I dont get any itching and I have it all off (Hollywood)each time every few weeks.
Frankly, if you are trying it for the first time then I would try the Hollywood instead of having what I think is a silly strip...my OH has always preferred the look with nothing there. You can work backwards after that and leave some hair if you want

Jeez, a lot of people with opinions on what other women should do with their pubic hair on here....

I'll continue to get waxed. And I'll continue to have a Brazilian because I prefer the look of it. What some random stranger's husband thinks I'd beyond irrelevant and borderline creepy

How much are people paying for this and how often? I’m always curious about how much money women spend on their appearance every month/few weeks. What with waxing, nails, hair cut/dye it feels like a massive amount of money.

I get a full leg wax and Hollywood for £25. I go 3-4 times a year. I'm in North London and use Treatwell to book as it's half the cost the salon charge when you call direct.

You’d either need to have very dark black skin tone/black hair, or white-blonde hair for it to be ineffective.

Mine tests contrast between the skin tone/hair colour and decides which of its 5 settings to use on any given area.

The less contrast there is between skin tone and hair colour, the lower the setting it uses, but it will still work. The vast majority of women with very dark skin tone would be able to use it IMO, Might just take a few more sessions.

It’s honestly a game changer, I could kick myself for all the expense and hassle I went through with waxing before I bought mine.

it’s not so much ‘having an opinion’, just not wanting other women to put themselves through unnecessary pain/cost/hassle.
