Flat Knee Boots

Has anybody seen any knee high boots that fit my criteria ( and are still available!):
Flat as possible sole
Black real leather
Not too chunky
Accommodate a relatively wide calf but don’t collapse around the ankle ( which are slender)
Can be worn with a dress or leggings and look good enough for work but not like I’m dressed up?

All I can find are really chunky soled boots which make me feel ridiculous! I had the perfect pair from office years back but they wore out. They had a zip down the back of the calf and an almond shaped toe area. I have never found anything similar since.

Have you looked on Clarks? The Pure Caddy style seems to fit your criteria:

I have the clarks pure caddy, I love them.

Legoninjago1 · 01/01/2023 17:21

Russell & Bromley usually have a really good range.

I have these (or possibly similar) www.johnlewis.com/gabor-brook-medium-length-leather-boots/p109069344

Really comfy, soft leather.

Fairfax & Favor Reginas, but they are pricey. I got a second hand pair, but new condition still in the box, off ebay for a good price. They do different calf fittings and are slim in the ankles.

Duo boots

Was literally coming on to say this. I got a pair for Xmas from OH after lusting after them for months. Beautiful boots and amazing quality, but pricey as said above. Mine are the chocolate colour but they do black too, along with many other colours 😊

I found this at John Lewis & Partners. What do you think? https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-erica-davies-violetta-leather-wide-calf-flat-long-boots-emerald/p6337805?tmad=c&tmcampid=7&sshare=jlappioss_Y29tLmFwcGxlLlVJS2l0LmFjdGl2aXR5LkNvcHlUb1Bhc3RlYm9hcmQ=

I think the Clark’s Pure Caddy is closest to what I’m looking for. Does anybody have any pics of them
on?

I've been looking at the Pure Caddy boots and really want to get the suede ones. I'm a bit confused by the reviews on the Clarks website though as some say they are slim fitting on the calf and I thought being elastic they would be quite forgiving!

Comedyusername · 02/01/2023 15:16

I have these. Really comfy. Wear them with skinny jeans and skirts.

I have 2 pairs of Dune Traviss knee high boots. They have an elasticated section which is ideal for a large calf

Manaslave18 · 06/01/2023 15:51

Well I tried the Clarks Pure Caddy and they are going back. I couldn't get my feet into them due to the leather bit that sort of goes around the back of your heel. It kept getting caught underneath my heel and tucking itself in.

Back to the drawing board!

They were really tight in my opinion.

Thanks for the update. I didn't order them in the end as the reviews were mixed about whether they were narrow or not. I'm going to wait until next year now!

Was going to recommend these exact boots. I’ve had mine for several years and they are still in great condition.

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 06/01/2023 16:21

I also have wide calves so definitely not slim

Flyinggeesei234 · 09/01/2023 09:11

@Manaslave18 what does it mean that this thread is ‘promoted by Mumsnet?’ Advertising?

Flyinggeesei234 · 09/01/2023 09:13

Sorry I don’t mean you have planted this thread, just a general question if anyone knows why MN does this on certain threads.

Manaslave18 · 09/01/2023 21:08

No idea as it doesn’t say that for me?!
I’m definitely not advertising as the boots I bought and sent back because they were dreadful on me 😂

Frostytiger87 · 09/01/2023 21:27

Are the Caddy boots difficult to get on without a zip ?
