Molecule 01- is it a con?

I received a bottle of Molecule 01 as part of an offer, so wrapped it up for the kids to give me for Christmas.

The problem is, no one in my house can smell it when I wear it. Am I doing something wrong? Is it the emperor's new clothes?

My colleague wore it and it smelt lovely. I have a tester and it smells lovely too!

So how come I can only get fly spray vibes from 01 ?

Doesn't smell of anything discernible on me on its own but others can smell it on me. I layer it with other perfumes and it seems to send them into mega beast mode when combined.

I've just ordered a bottle of Molecule01 dupe from Perfume Parlour on the basis that it's basically one ingredient so why pay Escentric Molecule prices.

I can smell it on myself and others. To me it smells very very fresh and ozone-y. I like it, but don't love it.

I love it when I can smell it on others. Can't smell it on myself but have been complimented when I wear it.

I smelled it on a customer, and it was so amazing I had to buy some. I used to be able to smell it on myself, but can't really anymore..but when I did it was lovely..fresh, clean, comforting, cozy..when I wear it I either get lots of compliments or none at all..so I think only some people can smell it properly..but those who can really like it. Husband has never been able to smell it, sadly.

As a result of this thread I bought myself the Escentric Molecule Discovery Set. It's just arrived and I've just put on Molecule 1. Used it before but not for a while. Let's see if the magic starts to happen....

I tried 01 when I was browsing in the Conran Shop years ago and absolutely fell for it - as a non-scent-wearer it felt as though I’d finally found what I’ve always heard other people raving about when they talk about perfume.

I was wearing it one day when a colleague said ‘oh, you must use the same soap powder my mum does’ 😂 Bang went my sophisticated perfume-wearing dreams…
