Oh I meant to ask about the blue fair isle - it has a good discount, does anyone have it and can advise on sizing?

mizu · 20/12/2022 16:29

Someone was selling that blue fairisle for £90 on Depop a couple of weeks ago - brand new too!

faustina · 20/12/2022 16:45

@TheChattyRat - I wondered about them having problems too. Also saw quite a few reviews from people commenting on the very much higher prices, so maybe there's a connection to be made

That bright blue fair isle? You can see a little video of it which I thought was really helpful, but I also remember when they did that video they said it was a very neat fit

AmethystMoonShine · 20/12/2022 16:50

@faustina if it’s the brown one with blue zigzags then I’m wearing it now!
It’s not especially small. Not a loose easy though. Mines a 10 I think and I’m a real life large 12 and it’s certainly not neat fitting. Just the right amount of swing!
it goes really well with darker blue denim.

Ooh, my final return just got processed!

Me too @dudsville . Phew!

@AmethystMoonShine - that’s the one! I’ve ordered a small and was having a sudden panic - thank you!

dudsville · 20/12/2022 17:20

Woohoo @Countmeout !

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 20/12/2022 17:40

DH has very kindly offered to drive the miles to put my return in the Inpost locker, which should be interesting as he's a bit of a technophobe.

Do I need to remove or cover the original delivery label with my address on it? I don't want it to wing its way back to me by mistake.

Saurus72 · 20/12/2022 17:43

I did remove my label because I had the same fear!

Noeggsontoast · 20/12/2022 17:52

@TheChattyRat I have the blue fair isle with snowflake type yoke and took the same size as previous versions, I find it slightly larger fitting than previous ones, I should say slightly looser as the size is still right.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 20/12/2022 17:52

Thanks @Saurus72 I think I will just to be on the safe side.

AmethystMoonShine · 20/12/2022 17:54

Just checked inside mine @faustina and it’s a Medium. You’re a lot smaller than me so you’ll be okay I think :)

dudsville · 20/12/2022 18:03

I'm also interested in the fair isle yolk fit. It does look more fitted.

Stravaig · 20/12/2022 18:47

Echoing @faustina on the Ticking Stripe Bedlinen.
I currently have mine hanging to dry in front of the heater. It's the earliest version, a vibrant Raspberry stripe instead of the more subtle Rose, but it's still going strong, no noticeable wear, and it's some 20 years old. It's astonishing quality, thick and cosy in the winter, and a bargain price if the sale reappears!

TempleofZoom · 20/12/2022 18:50

I ordered the blue fairisle yoke sweater.
I'm a size 12 and already have the brown version in a medium.
What I would say is that it's a fairisle fit, neat but not tight.
Also ordered the brushed back jersey trousers and sweatshirt in medium
The craft check linen dress in xs ( have heard this is huge) and the lightweight denim dress in an 8.

Bit of a splurge but haven't bought much lately.
Already dispatched😊

faustina · 20/12/2022 19:39

@AmethystMoonShine - thank you - fingers crossed.

@Stravaig - I have two of the bolster covers they made (and they also sold the bolsters too) - one in graphite and one in the raspberry, and then pink pillowcases and a duvet cover, but it all looks really good together. I ordered two flat sheets in pink and graphite. I do hope it doesn't mean they're discontinuing the range. It's timeless isn't it?

Stravaig · 20/12/2022 20:05

@faustina Oh I miss their bolster pillowcases! I found a source for replacement bolster pillows, but nice covers are hard to come by. I've been saving the good sections of worn out bedlinen with the intention of making some one day. I've been mix and matching my raspberry set with cream linen, quite a soft and dreamy combination.

faustina · 20/12/2022 20:11

@Stravaig - I bought the Elise stripe duvet cover in the summer and they look brilliant together. I think someone else on this thread did too. Have you seen it?

Stravaig · 20/12/2022 20:16

@faustina I wanted to, but I haven't managed yet. I imagine it looks gorgeous! How is it handling in use?

faustina · 20/12/2022 20:20

The edges of the cover have come unsewn (which all my duvet covers seem to do) - but other than that it's as nice as it was when it arrived!

Stravaig · 20/12/2022 20:22

I will keep it on the wishlist then :)

Stravaig · 20/12/2022 20:30

Just remembered! I used to leave reviews and email Toast suggesting more Ticking Stripe colourways, like Buttercup stripe, or Nasturtium stripe. Maybe the sale is to make space for new shades, rather than discontinuing the whole range?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 21/12/2022 09:18

All my secret sale parcels are apparently with my local RM, so there is just tomorrow left for delivery as they’re on strike after that. I wonder whether I will get them before Christmas.
Cant see any sign of the sale proper starting yet, when are we expecting it?

dudsville · 21/12/2022 09:41

I kind of feel bad posting about it, but mine are all in the dreaded Swansea, so i won't get them for a good few weeks i think! I think the sale started on the 22nd last year, but with the strikes meaning delayed deliveries i wonder if that will motivate them to do it earlier.

Stoic123 · 21/12/2022 09:50

@dudsville - I've got a parcel (not Toast) that has been sitting with RM Bristol since 29th November so I feel your pain.

Leeds seems to be doing better - stuff has moved quickly once it reaches there.
