I'm liking the stack check fabric so much I've decided to order the other items in that fabric to try, and whilst looking fir them i noticed this (pic below). Is it not a duplication?

I've just ironed a pile of laundry from the recent sale and the last week at work before the break, and then whilst putting it away I did a wardrobe tidy. The result is 1) I have a bin bag full for charity, 2) the dungarees are going back because I'm not 100% certain (I have a smaller size coming so I will get the chance to rethink the decision!), and 3) I've decided not to try the other stack check things because I have so many nice things already. I may be swayed if more things go on the sale and I get tempted, but for now my credit card is safe!

Looks like a duplication to me 🫤

@JustforToast yes! I have it and I love it. It’s very big. I had it shortened as it was a bit long for me, now it’s perfect!

Happy Boxing Day. Hope you all had a very merry Toast Christmas. My family were not so surprised to find even their gifts were from Toast this year! I held off ordering anything as waiting for more reductions / to be added but decided to get some of the lovely ticking bedding in the mineral blue green colour way.

Oooh - the sale is available! I've ordered the plum check dress in a 12 (my usual-ish Toast size).

I also went for the Cotton Linen Smock Dress in Montella - it doesn't look like much on the screen but I feel like I need to see it in real life and the blue Turrell Check Dress (inspired by @JustforToast above!) I went for an S in both based on the reviews. Not sure I've done the right thing but we'll see!

I also ordered the Alpaca Wool neat sweater in Chocolate on impulse - also in an S. Not sure about this one as I wanted a M, but they'd sold out by the time I checked out!

Can I ask if anyone else has this dress and if you do, what you wear it with? I love the shape and the colour suits me but I rarely wear it as it always feels like a bit 'too much' check (yes, I realise how silly that sounds as I'm typing it!)

Any styling tips?

You could wear a jumper over it? Wear with a little cardigan. Both break up the print.

I have dress envy @HeyHeyer, I love that dress! I'm no help to you though, I wear a lot of check quite happily. You may need to wear it more often so you break the worry that it's too much check?

A tank would break the check up @HeyHeyer . I’ve got last years Toast jerkin that I wear with my check dress.

I agree with the other person who suggested to wear it more often so you get used to the checks. It’s a beautiful dress ! I have similar in charcoal grey (a current non-sale dress in a cotton/cashmere blend) - I sometimes wear it with a thin cream or black T underneath and top buttons undone - enough solid block colour to break the pattern and also with long black plain boots which ground the look. I’ve had a few compliments when I wear this combination. I also style it with a warm oatmeal wool scarf - another solid block of colour which breaks up the dress pattern a little. I love my dress and hope I get several years of wear from it.

I also wear it without T-shirt / camisole and still love it. I accessorise with simple and plain earrings and a couple of bangles. I think it’s just a case of getting used to wearing it . It really is a very beautiful dress. I had my eye on it but I know the colour doesn’t suit me. Enjoy it ! I bet it looks stunning on.

Looks like my missing Toast parcel will be delivered today, unfortunately this horrible cold thing that’s been going round has got me, and the thought of trying on clothes and making any decisions feels a bit beyond me.

Do people love the plum check dress? I thought it looked too voluminous on the skirt for me but am considering it…

I’ve ordered in the sale, I do like that style of dress, nice and easy with a good card or sleeves rolled up a bit.
