Fingers crossed it’s the mega-expensive draped utility dress! I’ll be watching this thread like a hawk now; Christmas chores be hanged!

Yes it was that one. It was 50% off. I love the way the model is wearing it with the neckerchief and monkey boots

neveradullmoment99 · 22/12/2022 11:50

There was the sleeveless denim dress and the collared shirt dress

The workwear denim dress

this shirt dress

TheChattyRat · 22/12/2022 11:52

@dudsville what is the plum check dress like? I've ordered it too.
My parcel has been delivered...to my in laws 🤦‍♀️ I thought I was being clever as we are going there for Christmas and I was worried it would arrive when I was away.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/12/2022 11:52

They were the 3 denim dresses I remember in the sale.

savvy7 · 22/12/2022 11:53

There were no boots in the secret sale: for footwear, it was the Fracap Eve in black (which I can highly recommend), the Novesta plimsolls in pale blue and then I think it was the Kitty clogs

Ive ordered this too. I have a similar dress in a different print. I sized up as my other one gapes. I am a 14 but ordered the 12.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/12/2022 11:54

My other one is a 10. It still fits apart from a bit of a pull on the bust.
Really hate Toast for that.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/12/2022 11:54

I'd say its a generous dress!

I remember thinking that there wasn't much footwear in the secret sale.

FiddleFigs · 22/12/2022 11:56

My secret sale things arrived and are all lovely!

Unexpected hit is the blouson sleeve poplin dress in burnt orange. It’s something I’ll wear year-round. Also keeping the indigo trousers (almost full length on my 32” inseam, in case helpful) - I’ll take them up a fraction as I like an ankle length. And I’m keeping the almond neck jersey top, which looks average online, but lovely fabric in a deep beetroot/maroon, and hangs very nicely.

I am returning the cord skirt (it’s lovely, true to size at the waist but stands very proud in its A-line shape, which looked a bit unbalanced on my frame).

Also returning the Sutton Gingham dress, only because it’s too big on the shoulders and I hope to grab a smaller size when the sale officially launches.

Laska2Meryls · 22/12/2022 11:59

If the lovely peacoat that I was so lucky to win is in the sale at a third or more off, I would definitely highly recommend i as an investment piece.. I have worn it so much! Its beautifully warm and not too heavy/ cumbersome either.. and bum covering (😀) .. Just perfect..

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 22/12/2022 12:19

I looked at that burnt orange dress @FiddleFigs I was worried the blouson sleeves would be too much, but it is a lovely dress.
Didn't even see the almond neck tops in the sale, they look really useful.

Snowyowl78 · 22/12/2022 12:22

@Nanasueathome whats the sizing like on the craft linen dress? I’ve got it in order. I assumed it was big.

I’d like to try that denim dress, she shorter one with long sleeved but I’m worried about over heating!

TerrierOrTerror · 22/12/2022 12:28

My November sale order has finally arrived. The culottes I ordered (black denim) are just a smidge too tight across the hips so going back. The rainhat is lovely, but I am not sure whether it is worth £55 (sale price).

faustina · 22/12/2022 12:29

It's a bit like that party game - you know where they put things on a tray then took it away and you had to remember what was there?

I'm so glad there have been some successes for people. Still waiting for mine to arrive!

faustina · 22/12/2022 12:30

@TerrierOrTerror - keep the rainhat! I bought mine full price (with a discount) and it's really useful!

dudsville · 22/12/2022 12:32

@TheChattyRat , how funny, that decision made perfect sense in light of recent delivery fiascos! it would be a good summer dress, the cotton is quite light/thin. I agree with @neveradullmoment99 , it's a generous cut. It's a typical dress pattern for Toast in this style, so whatever regular size you choose in these is probably right. Personally, I'm not keeping it, I ordered this and the sutton and for both, on me, instead of looking ironically Amish I just look straight up Amish. I have some quite religious family and I don't want to get their hopes up, I already mostly wear my hair in a bun! As opposed to today's outfit of the seed check dress withthe grey marl cardigan that I feel I can make look more contemporary on me.

Nanasueathome · 22/12/2022 12:32

I ordered XS
usually have a 14.
The XS is fine
the material is quite thick so perfect for now

garlicandsapphires · 22/12/2022 12:36

Sorry if this has been covered already - but does anyone know when/ if the January sale is expected?

I have my eye on a bubblegum pink shirt and some PJS.

ToastCosILoveIt · 22/12/2022 12:40

If the Craft Check Linen dress is in the sale beware, it is huge. I ordered the small as a highstreet 12 and had to reorder the xs.

I love that game - good idea for Christmas

dudsville · 22/12/2022 12:42

That made me laugh @faustina!

I need to go over my "quite possibly keeping" pile, but so far it includes the two neat alpaca sweaters, the barrel leg dunagrees (have I finally found some that fit?!), the stack check trousers, the wool check blanket (I plan to keep this for my wfh desk, which is against a cold wall and window and will make me feel great!), the craft check linen top (those of you who have the dress, isn't the fabric just wonderful!), the check nightdress (I have two others and these are perfect lounging at home dresses too) and the seer sucker check pjs which are just fabulous.

For anyone considering it, the Kate Sheridan mini pop leather bag was in the sale for £95, which I thought was a good price. Be warned, this is the shiniest thing I've ever seen. One reviewer said it was like patent leather - honestly it's so much shinier than that.

lordloveadog · 22/12/2022 12:50

The Craft Check Linen really is very big. I have the L. Usually have XL. Am a high street 18 and on the large side of that. It's such a nice dress.

Noeggsontoast · 22/12/2022 12:56

I opened and tried on my package. The Sutton dress in XS is still fair too billowy on my frame so off straight back - the top is great but just far too much fabric. The ecru embroidered shirt is a keeper but knew it would be. Patiently waiting for the sale to open proper.
