How much of mg footwear should I ditch or rethink with Plantar Fasciitis?

I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis in the summer and it’s healing nicely and I’ve had to change my footwear.

However, should I ditch most of my shoes? I have a few pairs of shoes/sandals etc. Have seen a podiatrist twice who’s said to try my special insoles inside footwear and see how I go.

For information (I know different PF sufferers can tolerate certain shoes/trainers), I’ve found the Next Forever Comfort range great, so much so I’ve got silver glitter stiletto heels and worn them out from that range and I got an Oliver Bonas silver ankle boot too - very comfy and it comes in gold.

Op,
I am wearing inserts in my normal shoes, but have been wearing DMs for a few years now mainly. I like ballet shoes but they are a no no atm. Could not cope with my fit flops in the summer, they just didn’t help me at all. Birkenstocks I think would be too hard for my heel, but now have a pair from Aldo, Birkenstock style that were more bearable in the hot weather.
@GorgonzolaSouffle it’s very important to do the exercises and stretches. Check this link:

Mine is chronic now and I have it both feet. I have seen a podiatrist, 4 physio therapists. On a course of shock wave therapy atm.
