Having just moved I feel your pain on the fees - I resent the massive additional cost on top of the house itself a lot less now we are in our new home and so happy, though, so I hope the same will be the case for you!

We were out last night, dress code was black tie so it was fun having the opportunity to get dressed up for a change!

Reiss sale dress arrived. It was meant to be for last night but it needs taking up and altering quite a lot before I can wear it out without falling over the skirt or flashing everyone. In two minds whether to keep it - I love it (and the removable cape for the added drama!) but the alterations it will need to fit me properly will take a significant chunk out of the sale "saving" and it's not like it's a dress I can wear all the time - although have a couple of events it will be suitable for but not exactly going to get a good cost per wear ratio from it! 🤣 I'll be sad to send it back, but it's probably sensible as it was no good for the event I actually bought it for.

Both dresses look stunning @toastfiend! I appreciate, though, that the Reiss dress would probably be hazardous at its current length.

New jeans via eBay. Sized up , these replace a pair that are too small. Hoping I go back to normal when I get fixed!

I am wearing my new velvet asos slip dress today as its really heavy and feels really quite warm, also new leather chelsea boots that were an absolute bargain on nasty gal £110 right down to £16 I'm very pleased with that purchase!!

We spent our recent bank holiday with MIL, going out and about. It’s been such a fun time (I just love my MIL, wish I had a mother like her!), poor DD cried rivers when granny was leaving. :(

Today my colleagues and I are doing some New Year greetings, we are visiting our group companies so no formal jackets required.
